UFC 120 results, updates and fight coverage for 'Bisping vs Akiyama' on Oct. 16 in London

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to blow the roof off a sold-out O2 Arena in London, England, tonight (Sat., Oct. 16, 2010) with its latest star-studded Spike TV fight card.

UFC 120: "Bisping vs. Akiyama" will feature a hard-hitting middleweight battle between Michael "The Count" Bisping and Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama in the main event of the evening. Joining them will be Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy as he tries to fight his way back into 170-pound title contention against Carlos "Natural Born Killer" Condit in the co-featured fight of the night.

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Michael Bisping (185-pound limit)

Round one: Akiyama lands a HUGE right to start things off and Bisping is hurt. Akiyama charges forward and tries to capitalize but he cannot land anything else. Bisping dancing around gaining his bearings back. Jab from Bisping. Leg kick from Bisping. Left hook from Akiyama and then a jab. Jab from Akiyama. Leg kick from Bisping. Jab from Akiyama. Good body shot from Bisping and now he goes for the take down and gets it for a second. Head kick on the way up from Bisping. Leg kick from Bisping. Akiyama acts like he got hit in the groin but the ref tells them to keep going and Bisping lands a combo. Inside leg kick from Bisping. Nice one two combo. Nice right from Bisping and then a head kick. Leg kick from Bisping. Head kick from Akiyama. Spinning back fist from Akiyama misses. Right from Akiyama. Bisping shoots and lands a punch then a flying knee to close out the round. Bisping was hurt early but recovered to win the round. 10-9 Bisping.


Round two: Nice left hook right hook combo from Akiyama. Bisping with a inside leg kick and then a body kick. Akiyama with another good right hook. Jab from Akiyama. Jab from Bisping. Head kick from Bisping and then a good right hook. Straight right from Bisping. Another good right from Bisping, Bisping tries to get another take down but nothing there. Nice right from Bisping and then a left hook. Akiyama with a good right and he is throwing with power. Jab from Bisping. Nice leg kick and right from Bisping. Nice right from Bisping lands flush. Jab from Akiyama. Inside leg kick from Akiyama. Nice right from Bisping. Bisping misses a spinning back fist. Nice left hook and body kick from Bisping. Leg kick from Bisping. Big right from Akiyama lands hard. Nice right from Bisping. Jab then right from Bisping. Left right from Bisping and Akiyama lands a BIG right and then a left and charges in to land a couple more. Akiyama is landing some power shots, but Bisping is scoring more points. 10-9 Bisping.


Round three: Front kick from Bisping. Akiyama is just looking for the power right and thats about it. Jab from Bisping and then he lands a big head kick and a body kick. Over the top right from Bisping. Bisping lands two HUGE rights and hurts Akiyama. Bisping with a jab then a leg kick. Good right from Bisping. Good right from Bisping again. Low kick hits Akiyama in the groin and now the fight is stopped. Jab from Bisping and Akiyama comes in throwing bombs again. He is desperate. Jab from Bisping. Akiyama grabs a leg and kicks the body. Head kick from Bisping. Jab from Bisping. Body shot from Akiyama. Big right from Bisping. Great combo from Bisping lands hard. Bisping with another good right. Bisping with another good right. Double jab and double overhand right from Bisping. Nice right from Bisping again and he is landing clean punches. Nice uppercut left hook combo from Bisping. Good right from Bisping. Left right combo from Bisping and he is landing easily. Head kick then right from Bisping. Nice left from Bisping and Akiyama throws punches like a mad man at the bell but it wasnt enough. Bisping will take this decision easily. 10-9 Bisping.

Round one: Inside leg kick from Condit. Another inside leg kick from Condit. Hardy with a leg kick of his own. Jab from Hardy. Leg kick and head kick from Hardy.Inside leg kick from Condit. Nice left hook from Hardy. Inside leg kick from Condit. Leg kick from Hardy. Hook from Hardy and Condit counters with a right. Leg kick from Condit. Head kick from Condit. Wow sick spinning elbow from Condit. Hardy with a good jab then left hook. HUGE left hook from Condit. Great left hook from Hardy. Big left hook from Condit. Hardy with a good left. Big left hook from Hardy. Big uppercut then right from Condit. Body kick from Condit. Big right then left hook drops Hardy!!! Condit jumps on top with two more bombs for good measure and thats it Hardy is stiff and out cold!!!! WOW that was a vicious KO.

John Hathaway vs. Mike Pyle (170-pound limit)

Round one: Hard leg kick from Pyle. Hard body shot from Pyle. Pyle ducks under a punch and gets a take down. Hathaway walks up the cage right away but Pyle is making him earn his way up. Hathaway reverses position and is now on top with Pyle holding on. Their back to their feet. Nice knee from Pyle. Left hook from Pyle and a leg kick. Uppercut from Hathaway. Pyle lands a HUGE overhand right and wobbles Hathaway big time. Pyle lands another right that stuns Hathaway and now the Britt ties him up. Elbow from Pyle. Jab from Pyle. Nice right from the Britt. Pyle with a good right to the body. Pyle goes for a take down gets stuffed but then throws down Hathaway and is going to finish the round on top. 10-9 round for Pyle.


Round two: Pyle ducking and moving. Jab from Hathaway. One two combo from Hathaway. Pyle goes for a take down nothing there so he lands a good right for his troubles. Short elbow from Hathaway and a left hook to follow. Good right from Pyle and then knees to the body. Good jab from the Britt and then a big knee from Hathaway. Good right from Pyle. Nice uppercut from Hathaway, Pyle goes for the take down and lands right into side control with it. Big elbow from the top by Pyle. Pyle steps over and now has a mounted triangle. Pyle is throwing some punches behind himself as he tightens up the choke. Pyle is relentless and is just landing punch after punch. Now Pyle is landing some serious elbows and more punches. He took a beating at the end of that round. Pyle won that round easy. 10-9 Pyle.


Round three: Body kick from Hathaway. Hathaway looks for the take down but nothing there. Nice left hook from Pyle. Good right from the Britt. Pyle with a take down now. Hathaway walks right up the cage and is back up. Pyle tosses him down again and now is on top in full guard. Hathaway throwing some punches and trying to stay busy off his back but he is in some trouble here. Pyle passes to half guard. Nice right from Pyle on the top. Hathaway working like crazy to get off his back but Pyle is doing everything right to keep him down. Big punches from Pyle now. Nice punches and elbows from Pyle on the top. 30 seconds left. Thats the end of the fight and Mike Pyle put on an impressive performance. He gritted this one out from start to finish and this is the best Mike Pyle performance ive seen to date. Great win. 10-9 Pyle.

Final result: Mike Pyle defeats John Hathaway via Unanimous Decision

Travis Browne vs. Cheick Kongo (265-pound limit)

Round one: Browne misses with a big right and another. He is throwing wild punches. Inside leg kick from Kongo. Another inside leg kick from Kongo followed with a leg kick. Browne is missing with wild head kicks and punches but Browne is being pretty wreck less. Big leg kick from Kongo. Kongo not doing much to this point. Good inside leg kick from Browne. Browne with a BIG left hook that rocks Kongo. Now Browne charges in and he stuns Kongo with another powerful right. Kongo is on wobbly legs. Nice knees from the clinch by Browne. Browne with a shot to the stomach. Wild right from Browne. Kongo is trying to counter with something here. 1st round is just about done. Kongo connects with a right at the bell. Browne won that round with his wild striking style. 10-9 Browne.


Round two: Leg kick from Kongo. Leg kick from Kongo again. Nice left right combo from Kongo, and Kongo again with an overhand right. Knee to the thigh from Kongo catches Browne low. Right from Browne. Kongo counters with a good left and then a leg kick. Kongo goes for a huge knee from the clinch but Browne tosses him off. Nice left from Kongo and now he charges and lands a flurry of shots that force Browne to tie up. Kongo with knees to the thigh. Kongo's knee's to the thigh are landing hard now and might wear down Browne. Browne looks like he is starting to gas now, and Kongo still working the thigh of Browne. Their still tied up against the cage and this is a slow paced round and Browne gets the take down at the bell. Kongo won that round. 10-9 Kongo.


Round three: Browne goes for a take down right off the bat, but Kongo isnt having it and stuffs it with ease. Kongo just lost a point for holding the shorts of Browne and that is a big swing in momentum. Kongo now going for a double leg. Leg kick from Kongo. Body shot from Kongo, and now Browne is gassing out. Kongo going for a double leg why I have no idea. Not much action going on right now and the ref separates them. Inside leg kick from Kongo. Nice left from Kongo. Kongo now throwing bombs but after landing a couple he retreats. Nice body shot from Kongo. Left from Browne. About 30 seconds left. Browne gets a last second take down at the bell and just stole that round and possibly the fight. 10-8 Browne.

Final result: Travis Browne and Cheick Kongo fight to a Draw
