UFC confirms first wave of fighters in attendance for UFC Fan Expo on Oct. 15-16 in London

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today announced the first wave of fighters who are expected to attend the upcoming Fan Expo at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre from Oct. 15-16, leading right up until fight time to coincide with UFC 120: "Bisping vs. Akiyama."

Included in the fan experience are meet and greets with legendary UFC, Pride FC and WEC fighters, mixed martial arts (MMA) demonstrations, grappling "Super Fights," fan-inspired special events, training and development sessions, as well as other combat related opportunities and entertainment.

From UFC UK Division President Marshall Zelaznik (courtesy of Mirror.co.uk):

"We've listened to our British and European fans, and brought some of their favorite fighters over to meet them at the Expo. On Facebook and social media, a lot of fans were clamoring for the chance to meet guys like Wanderlei Silva, Roy Nelson, Rich Franklin, Jon Jones and the other stars on this list. We're very happy to work with our partners Reed to make this happen - and there are more announcements to come regarding the Expo. It is going to be a fantastic two-day event."

Confirmed for autograph sessions and a variety of other fan-related activities thus far is as follows:

Ultimate Fighter season 9 finalist Andre Winner; lightweight contender Cole Miller, UFC Middleweight Title challenger Demian Maia, Duane Ludwig, Efrain Escudero, No. 1 lightweight contender Gray Maynard, Johnny Hendricks, Welterweight Title challenger Jon Fitch, Light heavyweight sensation Jon Jones, Top heavyweight contender Junior Dos Santos, the ever-popular Marcus Davis, England's own Nick Ozipzcak and Paul Kelly, former middleweight champion and light heavyweight contender Rich Franklin, TUF 9 champion Ross Pearson, heavyweight cult favourite Roy Nelson, elite light heavyweight Ryan Bader, former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk, heavyweight prospect Stefan Struve, original 'Ultimate Fighter' finalist Stephan Bonnar, England's own Terry Etim, welterweight title challenger Thiago Alves and former PRIDE FC Champion and MMA icon Wanderlei Silva.

Additional fighters added to the upcoming UFC Fan Expo London are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The exhibit floor will also feature apparel, electronic gaming, food & beverages, fight gear, fitness equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, lifestyle products and much more.

Oh, and by the way, there are also some huge fights taking place that weekend.

Leading the charge of Britain's best butt-kickers will be Michael "The Count" Bisping in a hard-hitting middleweight battle against Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama in the main event of the evening.

Joining them will be Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy as he tries to fight his way back into 170-pound title contention against Carlos "Natural Born Killer" Condit in the co-featured fight of the night.

Sounds like a blast.
