IM CONFUSED!!!

is it hughes?he said 155 whats going on?

"whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?"

he said a guy he was SUPPOSED to fight at 155 couldn't cause of injuy

but Dana NOW offered him a fight he couldn’t resist. He’s 165 now and he now needs to do what he needs to do to be ready….that’s going to be interesting though. I’m scared for BJ. He’s 165, needs at least 3 more pounds but needs to train and get in good physical condition….hmmmm

I don't care too much for the hughes fight....

Hughes will have nothing for him. Frankie beat him because he’s awesome at chain wrestling and has developed slick boxing and counterpunching style not because he can hold guys down and donkeykong them. I want to see him fight Fitch. I mean if it’s only for the sake of interest.

I don't know...haven't heard of any 155ers talking about injuries

the only one definitely hurt and can’t fight right now is Dos Anjos….but it was obvious he wouldn’t be fighting for a while.

Well isn't there a rumor about Guida-Gomi?

And Gomi hasn’t said anything about being injured. I can’t think of a big name LW that BJ would want to fight either at least top 10 ranked.

He won’t progress and will never be the same…. BJ needs to train elsewhere, WITH AN ELITE CAMP. To bad… he’s going to lose to Hughes.

where the hell is Rosemead?

Is this a common city name that I have just completely missed out on?

Not only does BJ Penn quit on his stool versus guys that are bigger than him...He gets tooled by guys that are SMALLER than him. BJ should just stick to jumping out of pools, not fighting. I shoulda listened to Ulf.

Rosebud?

I only went there for a short time while Mania was banned at my job.

It took a short minute for me to get in it with the “regulars” over there. I hated it and thanked God when I was able to post on Mania again. I had the slowest job in the world and Mania made it go by. Now I moved back to Long Island and can’t find work, so again, Mania helps me get through the day. Gomi did what he did

Tyson came in with a bad game plan and set himself back 3 years in the trying. The punch in question was another looper thrown from the hip trhat Gomi made famous in Pride. No decent striker, in 2010, gets caught that badly. Just my take.

I took BJ in 2006 (?), I will take BJ in 2010 versus Gomi, all day, every day.

I do

based on the fact that Hughes is coming off 3 wins and BJ is coming off 2 losses to a smaller wrestler. Plus Hughes TKOd BJ last time out (rib or no rib) and that will play into it as well. I could see this thing coming out around -150

Do you guys remember the line on this the last time they fought?

And Hughes won.

Matt Hughes -225
BJ Penn +195

Different time for sure, but what has BJ done at 170 to change your mind about him there? Also, him coming off two losses at 155 makes me think Hughes will be favored here. Personally, I think BJ will take it, but that doesn’t change the fact that I believe the lines will be favoring Hughes.

I was debating with someone weather they will be closer to -400 or -300 with Brock as the favorite.

And low and behold, -150, which they still are (-160 when I last checked)

I still can’t believe it. I don’t like to tie money up long in advance, but I will be putting a healthy bet on Brock closer to the fight.

I haven’t seen a bet though on what the odds will be yet on mania.

I agree with Tyler

I think 3 is norm

I think 2 for a title holder is norm because they have to wait for someone to become #1 contender.

Also if Hughes didn’t get injured so much he would be fighting 2-3 times a year.

Then there are fighters like Kos , Daley and Mr.Wonderful who likes to fight 3-4 times a year no a regular basis.

Even though Kos will only fight twice this year I think he would’ve fought 3 times if it weren’t for TUF
