Did Chad Griggs beat Bobby Lashley? 'That wasn't really the case' claims 'The Dominator'
Props: MMA Fighting
Quoteworthy:
"I'm fighting again [in 2010] for sure...in November at the latest ... I already asked for a [Chad Griggs] rematch, because when you have certain events like I did that sort of hindered me from being able to open up and fight, I've got to go back. I'd hate for them to use that fight to boost somebody's career, saying, 'Okay, he beat Bobby,' because that wasn't really the case. If I didn't have these problems, and I'd been able to go out there and fight, I think it would have been a pretty quick win for me. But I just didn't have anything in me. When I went to the hospital afterward, they said I was really dehydrated. I went to hospital on Thursday before the fight because I wasn't feeling very good. I was just sluggish and not feeling good, so I went to urgent care and got checked out. I thought I was going to be okay. We didn't do any blood work, but they gave me an IV because they said I was a little dehydrated then and when I went in there and fought I didn't have anything in me."
-- Previously undefeated Bobby Lashley whips out the excuse Rolodex following his surprise loss to Chad Griggs at last month's Strikeforce: "Houston" event on Showtime. No one, except perhaps his 15 family members in attendance at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, gave the "Grave Digger" much of a chance to beat, much less pound out, the former two-time WWE heavyweight champion. Lashley was carted off on a stretcher following the defeat and blames mononucleosis for some of his difficulties. "The Dominator" is also awaiting additional blood test results to make sure he's healthy enough to compete in a potential rematch. Do fans want to see him try and redeem himself in another go-round with Griggs? Or is it time to move on and look towards the future? Lashley vs. Batista? Anyone?

Stand by for random unnecessary comparison to Brock Lesnar.

what?
BJ Penn is the biggest waste of talent in MMA history. Like usual, my pick was wrong and I blame a certain pudgy Hawaiin for my own short comings when it comes to talent selection. As it stands BZ – 3 Freenow82 – 1.
hmmm... i'll try!
Borck Lesnian is a goof.

Fedor is beyond godlike, so we had to choose Brock.
But I know what u mean, of course Fedor is god.

Hahaha Fedor?
People stopped eatting his balls along time ago, Your turn Free.
Triangles don't dodge Fedor.
Racist lookin!?!?!?! HAHAHAHA That is a racist statement!
There is only one god that the Christians and the Muslims borrowed from the Jews, Yahweh. But it is a funny statement because Yahweh came out of Henotheism which is the worship of one god but recognizing there are many.

I said this because every damn time this fake fighter’s name got brought up people would instantly compare or reference Brock Lesnar. These two aren’t even close and their career trajectory. Lashley couldn’t even finish Jason Guida for Christ’s sake

lol what u talking about... Guida is awesome :)
Jokes aside, very true. They are exact opposites:
Brock asked to fight the best, Lashley asked to fight the worst (retired, if possible).
Brock is an accomplished top national college champion, Lashley is the champion of Missouri.
Brock is white (almost albino), Lashley is black.
Brock is awesome, Lashley is a piece of dirt.
Brock is the UFC HW champion, Lashley is asking for a rematch with Chad Griggs.
Opposites if I’ve ever seen them :)

Awesome comparison
I’m not a Lesnar fan, but I agree 100% with this

Lashley is not a fighter. I have said it from the moment he entered MMA.
He and SF handpicked opponents that aren’t even really active fighters, so he could showcase his muscles. He does not have any technique and is not even a top-tier wrestler.
I was ecstatic when Chad finally proved that to the masses. It was only a matter of time until the excuses came in. I certainly hope they give him that rematch and Chad finishes his MMA “career” once and for all. Go back to fake wrestling Bobby, you belong there.

i thought SF and his mgmt did everything they could to dig up only dead corpses him to beat up.

Now Lashley steals Tito's excusodex and is asking for a rematch.
Here is a thought, lose some muscle mass, increase your cardio, and dont lye down on your opponent thinking your not going to get stood up.
I've got something to say; it better to burn in hell than to fade away!!!
Are there no real men out there fighting anymore?
Excuses are becoming way more mainstream nowadays…why do all these fighters have a problem with accepting a loss with a little grace and humbleness instead of playing the blame game. Is it just me or is this happening a hell of a lot more now? It’s getting pretty sad to hear everyone come up with excuses…it’s called life…it gets in the way sometimes…suck it up.
You know what would make a good story? Something about a clown who make people happy, but inside he's real sad. Also, he has severe diarrhea.

I have a guess
I think these fighters all realize that us “fans” will turn on a motherfucker with one bad performance. They are trying to keep as many fans as possible..
jay.
I turn a lot quicker on guys who whine and complain after losing
I don’t want to hear any excuses, nevermind ones as pathetic as Lashley’s and Jardine’s. If they were in that bad shape then why take the fights in the first place. Part of fighting is coming in as good shape as possible, if you’re dehydrated or have a “migraine” (bet it was just a headache) then you obviously didn’t do a very good job protecting your body, especially in Lashley’s case where it’s your job to cut weight without losing too much water from your system. Show some respect to your opponents because they actually showed up in fighting shape and kicked your arse in the cage, then go home and improve your health and skills instead of trying to justify a bad display because nobody wants to hear why you lost.

GREAT POST BUSTER!!!!!!
Once I read this I thought the same thing. What the fuck is wrong with these people. And don’t they realize that most excuses aren’t believed by the masses? It’s getting very annoying! Like Buster said, “suck it up!”
Anderson Silva is by far the number one P4P king!!! Even when he is losing a fight he still comes back and finishes for the win! GSP dominates the whole fight and still can't finish! LOL
pfft i dont think he derserves a rematch
Lashley only wants it cause its safest. Give him someone slightly better then Griggs. Griggs should get an opportunity to fight someone else now if he’d like. He beat BOBBY FUCKIN LASHLEY!!!!

Of course Chad takes it again, why wouldn't he?
Lashley really does suck and that night (amongst) others really proved such.

Lashley didnt even wanna come out for the 2nd round
And he had me yelling at the screen when the doc’s stopped it to look at his cut! He wasn’t standing there for them to look at it then say “Kay now go fight”. He put his hands on his knees for like 10 seconds then doc’s looked then he took another rest, then they started it again. Its not a fucking timeout/rest period!

Lashley vs Batista...
Just book it now. Let’s not waste time trying to polish two terds. Dehydrated? That’s just dumb when you fight at HW and don’t cut weight.

Big deal, Brock Lesnar was able to kick Frank Mirs ass while having the taco shits. It’s a very serious medical condition, look it up.

* "I don't think the injury was the cause for my defeat, I lost being in 100% condition at fight day. It's possible that Santiago might have been injured as well, I lost because my best was insufficient, only mortifying thoughts remain now. I think I would've entered the ring even if I lost one of my legs, I'm a fighter who fights, not with technique, but with heart."

Agree
That’s probably the only fight I’m interested in seeing Bobby fight right now. He has to fight either Batista or Pudz…
jay.
or that College football star whose name i forgot. the 47 year old guy.
