Shark Fights 13 videos: Trevor Prangley vs. Keith Jardine, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Houston Alexander and more!
Thanks to ZombieProphetMMA for posting the fights so quickly.
Enjoy the awesome battle between Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Houston Alexander -- it's easily one of the best fights I've seen so far this year, and should be considered for a "comeback of the year" award (if that award even exists).
Check it out after the jump, as well as Trevor Prangley vs. Keith Jardine and Paul Daley vs. Jorge Masvidal:

Bad Stoppage!! Bad Commentating!!
Worst stoppage Ive EVER seen in the Houston vs Sokoudjou fight ! . ref should be banned…As for the commentating – Love Bas and Don as fighters and Bas is awesome on his dvds but they were embarassing and it sounded like a joke.. Bye Jardine, sad to see you go.
Soko adopted the Toney defence and it didn't pay off :D
You gotta do some work while you’re being punched or the ref gets twitchy.
I was fine with the stoppage - most were landing on the arm.
As far as commentary – it was hilarity of the highest level but as far as actual meaningful analysis – yea bas doesn’t care anymore these days and don was simple comic relief, Kruck was decent with the play by play. If they had schiavello was in there man -it would be a fucking riot.

I always thought Bas was horrible..
I love him as a personality but really bad as play by play, even in Pride….
Get out ufc fan boy
Good night of fight, decent commentary. I know you’re only satisfied if rogan and goldy are doing the job, and your man Dana is ringside.
It wasn’t a great stoppage, but certainly wasn’t the worst. Soko was defending himself, and wasn’t out. It’s not like he was out and Houston was just dropping bombs on him..

totally justified stoppage just lying with ur arms over ur head is not intelligently defending urself
"whats the difference if Bruce Springsteen is his shidoshi?"

dude you're nuts
that was something like 60 un answered punches, how was that a bad stoppage?
Never before, have I so clearly heard the sound of a face breaking...

agreed.... Chuck vs Tito 2 was the same...
its not about punches and damage at that point, its about fighters looking for a way out, when they had enough….Soko was complaining anyways
It's a shame that once these guys have been KO'd in a bad way they never seem to...
recover.
Houston, weak chin, Chuck – gone, Bisping used to be tough now gets wobbled by every shot… They need to find a way to heal the “KO reflex” :D
oh, theres a cure alright
Its called; get another job that doesn’t include getting punched and kicked in the head…not the cure that most fans want, but it does the trick…lol

On this issue
A friend of mine who’s also a fan of MMA was telling me yesterday that after 6 lost bouts every fighter is required to go on a battery of exams to determine whether he can still compete or not, this ruled by the US athletic comission. Any info on that? It kinda seems reasonable but, again, my friend is a BSer.

Thanks for putting these up.
Didn’t have a chance to watch last night. Good comeback for Houston, was that a joke about the bad stoppage? He literally rolled into a ball on his side and got hit 50 times.
"That wasn't just winning. I mean, that was just demolishment."
Yea thanks for putting these up not bad fight night!
Having cards like this outside of UFC & Strikeforce is great for the sport! Maybe Strikeforce will try to buy out Shark Fights now lol Only knock was it was VERY BAD COMMENTATING!! Stick to commentating and not being a judge! And try not to talk about any ole rubbish during the match! I would like to here about details of fight, educating new fight fans of the sport and maybe the fighters history insight we don’t hear about that often not RUBBISH. Good job shark fights! Keep this up you’ll be on your way to the number 2 mma league if you keep this up, great job! And that was a late stoppage of Sokoudjou he might have brain damage, Houston hits with 1000 pounds of force dude thats 40 plus shots to his head half heartedly being defended, you do the math man and learn more about the sport of mma! And also good fight from Daily he actually learned how to get off his back!!!! DANA GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE!!!!!! But he needs another 2 year to mature he came in over by a pound again lol I love the Dean but this was a bad match up for him, he still has it don’t give up dude!
Alexander doesn’t need the UFC. He can not compete against those guys – horrible ground game.
Feel sorry for Jardine.
Commentating definitely could have been better but we pay for the fights. Some times I mute the UFC guys and the Voice when I watch K-1 or Dream.

lol
No Alexander can’t I agree – he’s to stiff to have any kind of ground game, thats why the best fighters are not body builders lol And I also mute the k-1 and dream fights on occasion lol But do think commentating can be useful if done correctly(details listed in first post)

I don't think the commenting was that bad
But then I always enjoy Bas even if he is off his rocker. However, could have done without the dude that sounds like Matt Pinfield from the old MTV Metalshop. That dude has nothing meaningful to offer.

Does anyone not think Daley should have gotten the decision? I thought he got beat 2 of the 3 rounds. I couldn’t believe one judge gave him all 3 rounds. What a joke IMHO. Daley never had the dude in serious trouble until the end of the fight and the other dude was pretty elusive on the feet for the first few rounds and took Daley down pretty much at will. I really enjoyed the card and thought the fights were great.

I agree, and he didnt land anything in that last takedown, if you can call it that.
by snipersniper on Sep 12, 2010 5:16 PM EDT up reply actions
So what did the other guy do to earn the W?
Pulling on someone’s leg a few times should not win you a fight – Daley landed the cleaner, harder shots all through the fight, yes he was taken down but not once was anything done with the takedowns – this isn’t wrestling and shouldn’t be scored as such. By all means take someone down and pummel or submit them but just a soft takedown on it’s own should not earn you anything.
If you count hitting Masvidals hands and arms as hes covering his face landing cleaner shots then yes, all he landed was a few leg kicks and jabs, even when he got on tophe didnt land anything
A Judge shall recognize that if the fighters remain in guard the majority of a round with neither fighter having an edge in clean striking or effective grappling, (items 2-4), the fighter who scored the clean takedown deserves the round.
A grappler who can takedown an effective standing striker to ground fight is octagon control.
Throwing strikes and not landing is not effective aggressiveness.

I thought the commentary was awesome
Kudos, Bas and Don!
