I think Rashad will end up fighting Jones.
I got a feeling Rashad is getting a little envious of the attention Bones is getting.

By the time that happens
Jones will be ready to take him.

Why not "rush" him along?
Everyone seems to agree that we can’t bring him along too quick? What is the risk of giving him tough fights? I don’t see the problem…maybe he loses…so what…is that going to ruin his fragile ego or something because he’s 23? We send guys to war at 18. What do you need maturity for to hold a UFC belt, it’s not like he’s running for office. The fight game is a short and tenuous one, who knows when he’s going to get hurt and not be able to, or want to fight. He’s a grown man with 12 professional fights and and six UFC wins (I’m counting Hamill as a win) , if he deserves a title shot, give it to him.

I agree, people have gotten title shots for doing much less than what Jones has been doing.

Getting success to quickly
can be a very bad thing. Jones has a good head on his shoulders and a well checked ego right now but….throw in some bright lights, a pile of money, and a pile of ass and you have a recipe for disaster.

I don’t see it as the UFC’s job to play psychiatrist for him because he’s young. I also don’t see the difference between giving him money and fame now or 2 fights from now, at some point he’s going to have to deal with it. Plus he’s already got money and fame and probably had more quality ass than I’ve had hot meals.

Good points. However,
I believe the UFC is trying prevent Jones turning “Silva”. That would derail a future money train.

It isn't just that
If he is thrown in the fire and loses to a tough guy or two, it damages the mystique, and ergo the marketability of the fighter. He’s already becoming a big draw to the hardcore fans and building that aura of invincibility if beneficial to the UFC.
was that the first time Silva did an interview in English?
I certainly haven’t seen him speak English before, and I can see why he always uses a translator.
I saw
an interview he did with Ariel Helwani a day or two ago, that was in English

!["Let me address this article that was put out ... First of all [I'm] not impatient about waiting [for] Rua [to] heal especially since it was my choice [to] ... wait! The UFC did offer me a fight since Rua was gonna [be] out so long against Lil' Nog. But I turned it down cuz the fight made no sense [to] me ... A fight with Machida would've made more sense but they matched him up with Rampage. Dana White told me from the beginning they wouldn't do ... [an] Interim belt. So [at] that point I decided I [would] wait. [Now] in this article it makes me sound as if I'm upset about waiting which is not the case ... What frustrated me was I was hearing conflicting stories of when he was coming back. One moment Dana would say May then in the article he ... said the fight is scheduled [for] March. Also [Rua's] manager said he will [be] out maybe longer than June. So I was frustrated on how the dates [are] ... ranging. But like I said I chose [to] wait. But [if] I had a clear idea on when the return may happen then it would effect choices I take ... I'm all fighter I'm not afraid [to] fight anybody!"
