Shinya Aoki: 'I want to be like Gegard Mousasi'
Props: MMA Fighting
Quoteworthy:
"As long as I am a fighter, and especially because I fight in the front line, I am always going to feel like 'What if I lose?' or 'This might end of my career if I lose.' That's why I want to be like Gegard Mousasi. I think he understands his own heart, and I would like to be like him. He has no ups and downs, and he is able to do anything, and he is strong. He's very straightforward in a good way. He's 25, so he is two years younger than me, but he's very stable. He's close to how Mirko CroCop was when he was in good shape, and very close to Fedor Emelianenko. This time around, he wasn't able to make weight, but Mousasi's opponent Jake O'Brien isn't a weak fighter. In their fight O'Brien looked like a fish out of water, but normally he's not like that at all. It's just that his opponent was Mousasi. I think he's great. I want to be like him."
DREAM Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki aspires to reach the level of self awareness displayed by fellow International star Gegard Mousasi. "The Tobikan Judan" finished Tatsuya Kawajiri at DREAM 15 to retain his title after being stifled by Gilbert Melendez in his trip to "Nashville" last April. Perhaps the disposal of Kawajiri, along with his bone crunching submission of Mizuto Hirota at FieLDS Dynamite!! 2009, makes him one of the world's most feared lightweights? Or is he simply a big fish in a little pond? And would a Mousasi-like demeanor make him even more dangerous?

But wrong for you to photoshop Chris Horodecki’s head onto her.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
as much as I love the Rubber Man.. he's got a ways to go before being Gegard.
but I love that my fav 155 fighter is looking up to my former fav 185 fighter. (he went to 205 so I moved Belfort into my #1 MW spot).
I doubt this thread will get a ton of action.
Imagine a TMZ video of Aoki outside a toyko nightclub. Ya know, just like the Roger Huerta one but with zero striking.
Imagine…..

it should get more action
Chael talks a big game, but he doesn’t break bones and flip people off like Aoki does. If only he could add a little striking to his game, man, he would be a world beater.

yeah...
mousasi would never flip off and mock a guy whose arm he just broke.
To Be Fair, I See A Lot Of Similarities.....
They both have a great career as the best guys who have never fought the best guys. Either one would be demolished in the UFC. Aoki vs Melendez was almost comical.
Give a man to fish and feed him for a day. Kick his stupid ass and maybe he will leave you alone.
Dana and the UFC's cock is so far down your throat its ridiculous...
you probably dont even watch any other promotions, just hate on them after their events… do us all a favor and just stick to UFC threads, you dont know wtf youre talking about

a little harsh
but to say that they haven’t fought the best guys is laughable.
"We fight, get beat, rise, and fight again."
Aoki just got destroyed by Melendez, Mousasi got LnP'd by King Mo
I don’t see either one fighting for a belt in the UFC, not that they wouldn’t be competitive.
