I think he left cause he was unhappy with them.
they promised him a shot at the belt, then didn’t give it to him. So he wanted to leave and they released him from his contract. kind like a: “I quit” “you can’t quit, you’re fired” type of deal.

Seriously though i thought his first reason for being in SF was retarded to begin with. He only went there because he just wanted a belt like WTF?! The only real title in MMA at WW is in the UFC so that’s the only place to go if you can compete with the best. But yea well said about how they kept fucking with him and eventually gave hm the final one in the pooper.
