Why? Because of DW's diarrhea of the mouth? I don't think so...

Well

Penn and him are having some “problems” again and the Kenny chokes stuff isn’t exactly flattering no matter how many times Dana says says “I’m not bad mouthing him” after that.

You guys think Dana should laugh off the shit BJ wrote about him in his book?

OJ, it's kinda fiunny you say Dana is getting carte blanche

and yet that is okay for BJ get that treatment. Dana took the highroad if you didn’t listen to that interview. He said we have some issues but he wasn’t going to air them out in public. Dana’s gotta be a man?? BJ is the one that needs to grow up. If someone in that combo is the one that needs to surround themselves with ‘yes’ men, it definitely isn’t DW.

As a Penn fan that fight was hard to watch.. He was picked apart.. I don’t think it is training at all.. I think once again it was a terrible game plan…He needs a new camp if he is going to compete… Whenever your corners advice is " I dont know BJ, what do you think?" or something like that.. Then you need to rethink…

What's wrong with UFC fantasy?

Does anybody else pick the fights on UFC fantasy? The scoring is all messed up. I picked 8/10 fighters, 6/10 methods, 8/10 rounds, and 6/10 minutes and finished 37th out of >13,000. I was only awarded 193 points, and the three fights I picked exactly right (Edgar, Maynard, Diaz) was awarded 27, 25 and 31 points instead of the normal 43. Also, I was given 27 points for the Randy fight even though I didn’t get the minute right. And I was only given 8 points for picking Lauzon, but 15 for picking Miller. Does anybody know what’s going on with their point system?

by Geoff H. on Aug 30, 2010 10:07 AM EDT reply actions

Don't know

There appears to be something wrong with the scoring. I got 25 and 27 points for correct calls on Maynard and Lentz respectively. They might have revamped the scoring but it seems more likely that there’s a glitch. Seems consistent though as we both got 25 points for calling Maynard. Incidentally, they do send you a prize if you get top 20 but it takes months. .

by H.I. McDunnough on Aug 30, 2010 11:27 AM EDT up reply actions

They have revamped the scoring system,

Its now called “Probably Outcomes” you get more points for picking underdogs and less for favorites and that goes right through Picking method, minute & round. I must have sent the UFC 4 emails between now and the Lesnar/Carwin fight. They still wont tell me how many points you are awarded for what and it is a little frustrating. Very vague answers from them. I asked them to send me a note outlining how many points and for what and they will not answer that question over and over again. Honestly I think the whole thing is fixed and the winners are somehow hand picked favorites. I have playing UFC Fantasy for years now and have never even come close to winning anything. I then look at who wins and the point differance between myself and the winners is immense. You cant get that many points without cheating somehow. I have asked over and over again at how the winners get so many points and how it is possible and have never been answered. I really know all the fighters asnd have been watching it since UFC 1 and I average about 160 points per UFC and the winners are always triple that easily. I just cant see how it happens without some sort of shadiness going on. Even on my best night I come in 60th and it pisses me off to be honest with you.

by HEELHOOK on Aug 30, 2010 12:28 PM EDT up reply actions

McD and Heelhook

Thanks guys for putting my mind at ease. I was like a little kid crying to my wife, “They cheated me! They cheated me!” I was in the top 20 once and got a DVD and a t-shirt. The very next one I finished 25th, and the top 20 supposedly got XBOX 360s. I wish I would have started it sooner. I also forgot to put my picks in at UFC 99, which had the most fights out of any UFC because we opened up our business at that time. We opened up a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, and so now instead of 50 a pop, it costs us $700 to show the fights. But then again we almost break even with everybody coming to watch it, and it’s good marketing. I’m about 900 pts. away from first (which I’ll probably never catch) and 300 points away from falling out of the top 50 on ufc.com

Dana makes it sound like Tito vs Ken in their first fight. I think that BJ exposed Dana’s true personality in his book and Dana has hated him ever since. I still think BJ won the first fight. If Edgar would have fought the way he did a couple nights ago in the first fight I would be like ok he won fair and square. BJ just has no gameplan going into fights other than I am going to wreck you and that doesnt do well against a fighter that just wants to be elusive and win on points. He doesnt build a strategically sound gameplan like Randy or Greg Jackson. If he did he would be unstoppable. I have no doubt in my mind that BJ will get the belt again it’s just a matter of time.

by Zac Carey on Aug 30, 2010 3:58 PM EDT reply actions

Keep dreaming Frankie figured him out in the first fight, it’s just that most people were still in denial that the goat at LW could ever lose. But Frankie showed that hype doesn’t get you anything you have to execute your gameplan to win and he did just that and dominated BJ and I don’t see him losing that belt anytime soon.
