Flinty farmboy and former welterweight champion Matt Hughes anticipates a stiff test from grappling guru Ricardo Almeida when the two rivals come together at UFC 117 on Aug. 7 in Oakland. Hughes has a few Gracies under his belt and wants to add one of their prized students to his list of conquests. Can he break the "Big Dog" this Saturday night at the Oracle Arena?

anyone with any stand up at all shouldn't be afraid to stand with hughes
too bad almeida doesnt have any striking either
but hopefully it hits the ground
instead of two people with no stand up, standing and fighting ala hughes/gracie….makes for brutal brutal brutal fights

Are the gracies and company just gonna say F it? If matt does win he and sakuraba have to have a showdown to determine who the best gracie killer really is…lol…I think matt is wrong, I think big dog is gonna keep it on the feet..he isn’t great but he has looked a little better on the feet with each fight…and matt has always looked below average
