SeatGeek, with the help of MMAmania.com, analyzed the ticket price differential between UFC 118 and UFC 119. One of the biggest cards of the year is to no surprise also one of the hardest tickets to get. Head over to SeatGeek for a more in-depth look.

my point being – what will be the avg ticket price for a UFC event at the ACC? way too fucking much id say
I'm the oldest I've ever been, right now.
LOL those teams play 50 home games a year and the stadium is set up for them to come to
The UFC moves around to compare it to a team sport that playes X amount of times. Fottball games are played 8 home games a year I don’t have the exact cost but it’s more than hockey that plays 50 games a year. We are talking about a event that moves around and has to set up everything and takedown everything and move on.

excellent points Puck.
I very very often type and talk and post without thinking at all
i geuss i just looked it as the cost to attend a sporting event, regardless of what it is and how it is set up, etc.
I'm the oldest I've ever been, right now.
Really though..
what do the UFC really need to set up that’s so expensive? A cage and some lights above it? The seats are there, the sound system is there, the big screens are there. Not all that tough. I’m sure it’s one tractor trailer and that’s it. I realize these events are once a month, but it cannot be that much of a setup.
it cant be THAT much set up...
i dunno a whole lot about it. but in terms of set up, think of toronto…if the leafs play saturday night, and raptors play on sunday, they have a full crew working all night to switch from a hockey arena to baketball arena…that cant be less setup than the UFC has to set up the cage. and the man power alone would make that super expensive
i wonder out of a, say 300 dollar ufc ticket, how much of that is detemined by the UFC and how much is determined by the venue hosting the event? ie, air canada center wants 150 a ticket, UFC wants 100 a ticket = 200 dollar ticket price….anyone know how that works when they visit cities?
I'm the oldest I've ever been, right now.
hahahahahaha
100 + 150 = 200 i swear it does.
and did you know the word “gullible” is NOT in the dictionary!! seriously look it up…
I'm the oldest I've ever been, right now.
Whatever that has to do with being gullible...
Anyway, you are comparing tearing down an entire hockey arena with ice playing surface to that of setting up a small little cage on a concrete floor? Come on, they hang a ring of lights up, above the cage and run some wires. It might take a day…worth five times the amount of a hockey ticket? Not even the same comparison. They put on cage matches all the time in gymnasiums all over the country. It’s a cage, not a frozen floor with glass walls all around it.
I would imagine
the UFC’s insurance and permits issues > than hockey etc.
"We fight, get beat, rise, and fight again."
basketball teams cover the ice with the parque floor on a hockey arena...
The NCAA’s did it in Pittsburgh a few years back and I have heard that they do it in Toronto also. It would take days to melt and reform that much ice.

damn...i need to go see a stars game for those prices.
To me in this sport, it’s fighting, it’s mixed martial arts, and I feel there’s too many athletes and not enough fighters…I think these people going in taking these sports enhancement drugs, they’re not real fighters, they’re athletes. lol...i'm not a HUGE hockey fan but i can sit there and watch games sometimes
I’m from Chicago so the Blackhawks are my team and well…since we’re champs…I should probably support the sport lol.

Just kidding...
Hockey is alot of fun to watch live…for me, not so much on TV. I’m in Capitals territory, so up until a few years ago, hockey was none existent.
No wonder so many people from Toronto go to Buffalo to watch a game.
The Leafs are double everyone except for the other Canadian teams and Minnesota. I can’t figure Minnesota…
118 biggest card of the year?
Not even close.
Its average at best.

Huh?!
You’re crazy…Bonner, Lytle, and Leben fights were all awesome fights. I’d wager that the Leben fight was just as good if not better than the Lesnar fight. Maybe not alot of big names, but all brought it that night.
who knows how good 118 fights are gonna be...
but on paper it is a waaaaay better card than 116 IMO….
......
Good luck with that...
I’ve been to one UFC fight (Liddell vs Silva 2007), paid $500 a seat, and looked at it like a one time only thing. I had a good time, but those prices are ridiculous. Unless they drop prices into the realistic neighborhood, I just can’t justify spending that kind of money. The UFC wants to be the next NFL, but I pay $1800 a season for my (2) NFL season tickets for 10 games, compared to the $1000 I dropped for one UFC event.
I just paid $97 for my ticket to UFC 121
$75 was for the ticket, the rest was TicketMaster bend over and take it up the ass w/ no lube fees.
That section is sold out and now I’ve seen tickets on ebay going for at least $200 apiece for the same section.

I’m not going to deny it is a fun event to go to…but even at the crazy prices you can’t see shit. I bet at $500 a seat at Mandalay Bay I was still 40 rows off the cage! It blows me away that anyone can afford these prices with the economy the way it is, but they seem to pay it.
The only way I was going to go
was if I was able to get a $75 seat. The Honda Center isn’t all that big either from what I remember.

They are at the top
but the place isn’t huge. I had to keep it cheap since Im flying out there.

awesome deal

I paid 550$ USD to see UFC 100 in vegas, and I paid 300$ to see UFC 113 in Montreal.
The tickets prices are definitely a little insane, especially if your not one of the lucky ones to get pre-sale tickets and have to buy them on stub-hub for absurd prices.
Rangers Season Ticket Holder - Tickets Available for UFC 121 As Well
Hey guys – Regular reader, but infrequent poster. Anyway, since it seemed relevant here, if anyone’s interested in NY Rangers hockey tickets, email me. I’m a season ticket holder (2 tickets 300 level) and sell a number of my seats as I can’t make it to all 41 regular season home games. I also have UFC 121 tickets available (upper level) for a lot cheaper than the $200 price on ebay. Send me an email if you’re interested in either: wag279@gmail.com
I buy tickets to just about every UFC event and then see which I can go to. Unfortunately, UFC 121 is the same weekend as the 49ers/Panthers game and I have tickets to that game, so I’ll be in Charlotte.
Neither Actually
I’m a UFC fight club member, so I buy tickets to all of the UFC events. If I can go, great. If not, I generally sell them on StubHub and after StubHub fees, on average, I’ll make $10-$15 per ticket. For events in the Northeast (Newark, Philly, Montreal, Boston), I go to the events with guys that I train with. I never have more than 6 tickets to an event, unless it’s an event where 8 tickets are allowed. If I can get a good deal on a flight, I’ll fly to an event. I travel a lot for work, so I can always use points to get hotel rooms.
I’m a first year Rangers season ticket holder with only two tickets – far from broker status.
And the Panthers/49ers game, well, I’m a 49ers fan that lives on the east coast, so I’m taking a road trip to Charlotte for this game. Every year, I try to catch at least one game live.
The profits I make on the events I don’t go to help pay for the events that I do.

Bostons Tickets....
Are expensive ( Iknow because I bought 4) because a.) its the first show ever in Boston and Dana spent a lot of his life living there b.) the card is above average (not as good as it was first announced, but with a title fight, Couture vs. Toney and a #1 Contender fight in Florian vs. Maynard. c.) there is a fan expo going on for two days too…
......
I got my 118 ticket for....
Zero dollars and zero cents.
seems well below the median if you ask me.
