Organizers of the 34th annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati are hoping that the grand marshal of this year's chicken dance will really pack a punch:
Mixed martial arts fighter and former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin of West Chester Township, a graduate of Harrison High School and the University of Cincinnati, will lead this year's dance at noon Sept. 19 on Fountain Square.
The chicken dance has been led by a celebrity since 1994, when Crown Prince Luitpold Von Bayern of Bavaria helped the event draw 48,000 people, enough to qualify for the Guinness Book of Records as the World's Largest Chicken Dance. The record held until 1997.

the brockness monster grinds up teenagers and puts them in his protein shakes..and uses razor blades to chop toddlers up into lines to snort like meth...the reason no one can find bigfoot is because the brockness monster found him years ago and now has him in numerous ziplock bags in the back of his freezer...

He’s one of my all time favorites, and the story that he started training by watching Gracie tapes in his garage is awesome.

Nothing but respect for Richie.. And its pretty cool that he has no problem with doing the national chicken dance, put on a smile, being a clean cut educated guy… Than step into a cage a knock, tatted/rough looking mother fuckers straight OUT!

I think he’s a legend. One of the first fighters I was watching when getting into to the sport. Seems like one of the nicest guys in the sport along with Coture. I know he’s not gay, just thought it was a funny and suggestive picture.
