Edgar is keeping his belt

Too quick for Penn, he will win another decision with his speed and boxing.

I hope I am 100% wrong. I am a fan of Penn. He needs to get his hands on Edgar - literally.

Recent videos he posted of himself on bjpenn.com

he looks to be in amazing shape though. Very lean.

To me in this sport, it’s fighting, it’s mixed martial arts, and I feel there’s too many athletes and not enough fighters…I think these people going in taking these sports enhancement drugs, they’re not real fighters, they’re athletes. I’m a fighter. I’m a real fighter. That’s all I did my whole life. - BJ Penn

LOL Is that workout supposed to be difficult?

If you have a pussy workout, why would you show it? Not trying to sound like I’m all that, so no need for the “keyboard warrior” crap, but really!

Anderson Silva is by far the number one P4P king!!! Even when he is losing a fight he still comes back and finishes for the win! GSP dominates the whole fight and still can't finish! LOL

I Guarantee You

There is no way you can do that work-out. In fact that wasn’t even half of the work-out. There was no TRX, The 5 sets of 40 185 barbell presses were not in there and the 30 consecutive pull-ups with a 35 pound weight vest on. You realize he was pulling almost 200 pounds with ONE HAND on that sled, right??? Those were 45 pound plates on each side of the sled.
BJ is in HUGE trouble Saturday night.

Glad you caught that

Don’t forget that his base is wresting. Just because he mixes up his punches, angles and footwork up I think people forget that he is a very competent wrestler. I’m not saying that Frankie will KO BJ because everyone knows just how difficult that feat is. But we will probably see the same thing as last time but with more authority from Frankie.

No matter who wins, who does the champ fight next?

by mmaaddict on Aug 23, 2010 6:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Winner of Maynard/Florian

As long as Florian and BJ don’t win.

So either

BJ/Maynard
BJ/?

or

Frankie/Florian
Frankie/Maynard 2

Noons does not have power in his hands. Maybe his knees but his hands do not have KO power. they’re good enough to cut up and swell up gurgel’s face, but he won’t be ko’ing gurgel tonight.-STAK

I'll be rooting for Frankie.

But’s that is mainly because I am from NJ and I gotta root for the home town guy.

Well I'm rooting for nobody.

because I hate them both

I will watch out of curiosity to see who the winner of Maynard/Florian will fight for the title

and my undying love for mma

Arm.bar.bandit saw me slow dancing with Anderson Silva. I had my hands on his ass.

I’m in the same boat. Solid card and I’m buying but not for the main event.

Penn

will win, 2nd-3rd round tko

You aint shit

by L O L on Aug 23, 2010 2:52 PM EDT reply actions

I hope not

I’ve got a $20 bet going that Penn can’t finish Frankie by the end of the 3rd. He may win a decision though. I don’t care either way.

by PetrozellisJab on Aug 23, 2010 3:01 PM EDT up reply actions

haha

I might take a bet that BJ does finish him in 3 rounds.

Sorry man, I'm not so good on the turntables

Yes, $20 matters. Any amount matters, I hate losing bets. The point of the bet is to put one person’s claim against another and see who’s right. No one likes to be wrong.

Clearly you don’t share the same sentiment.

truth

I am a gambler. To me, mma is too much of a crapshoot. I make bets on mma, but small ones. It isn’t the money, it is the losing.

Get ready for a new pic- BJ in a cowboys jersey. Should be classic.

Onemansyn could probably get you a photoshop.

You should just expect a picture of BJ quitting on his stool, unless I can find a pic of his mom giving a BJ (get it?) instead…

I am going to bombard BJ's website

with requests for him in a Cowboy’s jersey. I want the real thing here. Kinda like you are your damn stool photo. Fuck.

close, but more convincing...

I see FE going for takedowns earlier, letting BJ up and attacking while he is getting up. FE’s double leg is good, but FE is not strong enough to hold BJ down. The obvious choice, for me, is to punish him on the way up with elbows, knees and kicks since FE will get up quicker than BJ…by round 4 BJ will slow again and FE will win convincingly. 49-46, 48-47, 48-47 UD.

Or BJ RNC’s him in the third. ;)
