The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) today issued its list of medical suspensions for those who competed at the WEC 50: "Cruz vs Benavidez" event which took place on Aug. 18 from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

As expected, main event competitors and bantamweight brawlers Dominick Cruz and Joseph Benavidez will spend a few weeks on the sidelines after five full rounds of kicking the crap out of each other.

Also getting a mandatory vacation is 135-pound contender Scott Jorgensen, who needs a few black & whites of his left paw before the commission gives him the green light to compete.

Other notable suspensions are Shane Roller (left knee), Bart Palaszewski (right knee) and Danny Castillo (right wrist).

But that's not all.

Here is the complete list of WEC 50 injuries and their medical instructions:

Dominick Cruz: No contest until 02/15/11 pending right hand X-ray.

Joseph Benavidez: Suspended until 10/03/10 with no contact until 09/18/10.

Shane Roller: No contest until 02/15/11 pending left knee X-ray.

Anthony Pettis: Suspended until 09/18/10 with no contact until 09/09/10.

Brad Pickett: Suspended until 09/18/10 with no contact until 09/09/10.

Zach Micklewright: Suspended until 10/03/10 with no contact until 09/18/10.

Bart Palaszewski: No contest until 02/15/11 pending right knee X-ray.

Anthony Njokuani: Suspended until 10/03/10 with no contact until 09/18/10.

Javier Vazquez: Suspended until 09/18/10 with no contact until 09/09/10.

David Jansen: Suspended until 10/03/10 with no contact until 09/18/10.

Danny Castillo: No contest until 09/18/10 with no contact until 09/09/10. Additional suspension until 02/15/11 pending right wrist X-Ray.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.
