Strikeforce weigh in results for 'Houston' on Aug. 20

The official weigh-in event for Strikeforce: "Houston" is now in the books. The last of the formalities before tomorrow night's fights took place earlier this afternoon (Aug. 20, 2010) from the Toyota Center Concourse in Houston, Texas.

Each of the eight main card participants who will compete on the Showtime televised portion of the card made their respective weights without much incident. KJ Noons came in a quarter of a pound heavy for his lightweight bout with Jorge Gurgel, but Gurgel conceded the extra weight and Noons was not ordered to cut anymore.

There are two world titles on the line on the card.

The main event will feature a light heavyweight title fight between current 205-pound champion Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and hard-hitting Brazilian contender Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante, while Tim Kennedy and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza battle it out in a bid to claim the promotion's vacant middleweight title in the co-headliner.
