My one bad pick
I picked Griffin to win caus he’s so damn resilient, never would I have imaged he would get KO’d.
Dunham vs Gomi next?
I'd like to see Gomi in there with a slugger.
Let him get more comfortable against someone he has a good chance of beating. What better way to do that is there than putting him against someone willing to stand with him?
Guida maybe? That’s a winnable fight for Gomi, and a good name too. Hell, where’s Huerta when you need him? lol :P

heathen and guillard are both steps down for Gomi. Griffin was borderline top 10.

I admit to not watching that fight. Did Griffin try to take Gomi down? Seems too risky to stand with a striker who is taller than you.

Not one TD attempt by Griffin.
Poor gameplan, but in his defense, Griffin had never been stopped before. In fact, I can’t remember him being rocked before.
It was a good stoppage, even though Griffin walked around like an idiot acting like it was a bad one. Griffin did not defend ANY punches when he was lying face down on the floor.

Yeah, he was definately pissed.
I think the ref should have let it go a bit more. He wasn’t really given any time to try and defend himself. Gomi only hit him with 2 shots on the ground before the ref stopped. I still think the end is the same, but I would like to have a seen a bit more time given. I don’t blame the ref for stopping it though, Griffin hit the ground face first, and that certainly doesn’t look good, but he wasn’t out cold like I think the ref expected. Maybe the floor woke him back up?

Even if the fight was stopped early, (which it clearly wasn’t) doesn’t make it Gomi’s fault. Be mad at the ref if you want to be a sore loser.

I don’t think he’ll go back to where he was(#2 ranked LW)but he’s gonna be competitive with most of the top LW’s. I have a hard time believing Griffin is top of the heap.

I just have no faith in Griffin or Stevenson.
Gomi needed the win badly and neither of those guys impresses me. Sometimes it has nothing to do with skills, it has to do with NEED.

I went with Okami, another perfect night for me.
That was a close fight. Munoz looked like shit. I thought all three judges were gonna give it to Munoz. He lied turtled on the mat for 10 minutes holding that leg. I thought the judges were gonna be stupid enough to award him for it. Fuck Munoz looked horrible.

At 32, I don’t think he will ever develop beyond where he is now. If 6 months at Blackhouse can only get you the striking we saw last night, Munoz is in trouble.

He looked a lot better against Grove, but it could just be that Grove is a step down from Okami and it’s easier to look better against a less skilled opponent. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have just had an off night.

After the way Gomi looked against Florian, it was easy to bet against him. Tyson fucked up with his game plan and entered Gomi's world. And he paid the price. Good win for Gomi but I don't see him going far against the wrestlers in the LW division.

He looked slower than KEnny, that is to be expected
Kenny is number 2-4(somewhere in there) and improving all the time, Gomi was making his UFC debut and just trying to weather the storm. I didn’t expect Gomi to win that fight and picked accordingly. I would take Florian over any LW in the world making his UFC debut as the main event.
He looked better against Kenny than anyone else has in the past 5 years(aside from BJ).

About gomi's TDD
I am pretty sure Gomi started out as a wrestler. He has good TDD and awesome boxing just not much of a kicker . I think his biggest problem was motivation after so much success in Pride. Now he’s got the fire i believe he can give anyone a run for their money other than Baby Jay
