And had some pretty confident words for the champ at the WEC 50 post-fight press conference:
"It's exciting for me to hopefully be able to get that title shot against Dominick (Cruz) and take the belt from him. I honestly think I'm a better striker than Dominick, he just moves at a great rate and creates different angles -- but my wrestling is better than his. If I wanna take someone down, I will. I'll find a way. If he wants to stop them then I've got other tricks in my bag. For me it would be a great fight, I feel I'm stronger than him in every area and I'll bring that belt back."
Fresh off his "Fight of the Night" win over Brad Pickett at WEC 50 on Aug. 18 in Las Vegas, Scott Jorgensen has set his sights on the reigning division champion Dominick Cruz, who outlasted Joseph Benavidez at the same event to retain his 135-pound title. Does "Young Guns" have the ammunition to stop Cruz' reign as champion? Or will he find himself getting more than he bargained for if and when they fight? Opinions please.
