i had a UD for Cruz 49-46
I have no idea where that Split D came from. Regardless, Cruz got the win.

I had 49-46, as well.
I could understand, in a weird sort of way, giving JB 2 rounds, but 3 is really difficult for me.

the split came from NNR's voodoo magic so he could cash his bet
I should never have doubted the wisdom of David W-S or the talent of Junior Dos Santos…and screw Dana White

Was Cecil Peeples in the house; you know how that judging goes.
I've got something to say; it better to burn in hell than to fade away!!!
How did you score it as a UD?
Do you have multiple personalities and they all scored it 49-46?
(just trolling you lol)

Cruz seems like a good guy and will probably be champ for a while
But I can’t stand his fights. He’s like watching the damn geenie from Mike Tyson’s punch out.
You blink, he runs around in a circle, and hits his opponent

Ahhhhh, Mike Tyson's Punch Out.
A classic, could never beat Iron Mike though. Remember Bald Bull, Don Flamingo, Glass Joe, Piston Honda, Sodapopinski. What a great game……….
Sorry, I know this is way off topic, just brought back a lot of memories.
Upper Cut, Upper Cut, Body Blow
I did not know what you both were talking about here, but the Glass Joe reference knocked the memory free. What a great game at the time!
Petro your analogy is spot on!

I could see giving Benevitez
Rounds 2 and 3. Cruz is a lot of dancing, and not enough action sometimes. I dont like him much, seems like a okay guy though…….no disrespect, just not my kind of fighter I guess.
Oh, and what is with Faber’s team? is the rule to be on his team no taller than 5’5? LOL, alpha male, more like team LMD. Little man’s disease.
I had Cruz with a unanmiouse myself
I was blown surprised that one judge gave it to JB… Judging is crazy sometimes for sure

Great Night
Its nice to catch fights of that quality on a week night. I have to admit I did not realize Cruz hit Benavidez that many times; would love to see the round by round breakdown. I suppose Cruz creates many angles to hit his opponents, but I was thinking Bena was cutting off some angles and landing the heavier shots. I tried not to get caught up with what Bonnar was saying, but it seemed he was changing his tune as the fight progressed. No doubt Cruz won, but I started to feel for those who feel GSP smothers guys and does not allow the fight to play out on the feet ( I know Cruz is unreal on his feet, I am just sharing my bias.) Round 1 was definitely close until the takedown and 3/5ths of the 4th were all smother and ride. I thought Benavidez did well at times from the bottom thought. Can not believe the energy of those two guys and that division has to be the most exciting in MMA.
