Chael Sonnen is apparently not amused by Bisping's sense of humor after the Brit tweeted this during UFC 117 on Aug. 7.

Chael soundly outstruck Okami too, so dont think that he only has to get it to the ground.
He’s never been TKO’d by strikes, only a cut and a corner stoppage between rounds. Ping wont be the first. I think, if this fight does happen, Chael will be able to keep him guessing with his stand up and wrestling. Sonnen has also developed a few kicks in his arsenal, so that’s something else that he can keep Ping off balance with. Either way, Sonnen only ever gets tapped out, and Ping will not be able to do that. Chael all the way.

I don't see Chael that much different than I thought of him before
Actually, he is exactly the same guy that handed Filho his first loss. He is the same guy that doesn’t practice sub defense. Andy couldn’t TKO him and you think Pillow hands has a chance? If anything this fight is 20 times easier since he doesn’t really have to worry about getting subbed.

Bisping doesn't play the guard like Silva
Bisping will scoot to the fence and try to wall walk, or push off and try to stand up, he’s not going to sit there and look for subs, he’s going to use whatever jits he has to get back to his feet. That fight would not look the same imo.

Probably, I see that fight being a boring one
Sonnen will spend most of his time trying to keep Bisping on the ground, and Bisping will spend all his time fighting to get up. I don’t see the same volume of strikes happening in that fight. If it went Bisping’s way it would be a lot of jab/run/jab/run etc..

Bisping is
A chump buster, sonnen should fight wanderlei and winner gets a title shot while Anderson fights vitor. Bisping should fight leben. I think bisping is a big douche bag and chael would pretty much do whatever he wanted to “the count” except maybe knocking him out, since both of them lack the powe to do so

Sonnen takes him down, does a little gnp, Bizzzzbing wriggles free, Sonnen takes down again, rinse and repeat. Easy 30-27 UD.
This fight’ll never happen anyway, both Mick and Dana know he’ll get murdered. Thats why Bizzzzy’s got another war of words going on with Patrick Cote, a far more realistic opponent for Bizzzzy’s skill set.

I actually do see how it makes sense
-Two of the biggest talkers makes for endless promo ops.
-Chael will have to and wants to fight again instead of waiting months and months for a Silva rematch
-Chael is in good graces not only for carrying all the promotion for 117, but an amazing performance. If he asks for this fight (and it seems like he now has Bisping in the cross hairs), he gets whatever he wants.
-Sonnen’s stock has never been higher. The UFC had been trying so hard to build Bisping up as a contender, so if somehow Bisping pitty-pats his way to a win he leapfrogs to a title shot. THAT the UFC wants for their euro-marketing.

Evans transition from striking to takedown is def better than Sonnen's
However, I think Sonnen’s top control is much better. Sonnen is a straight shot and rarely strings together punches and takedowns. That’s the difference that I think O Damn is looking at.
