MMA Quick Quote: Urijah Faber eyes November return, possible bouts with Cruz, Torres and Mizugaki
"I wanted to fight September 30 [at WEC 51]. I figured I only needed about a month off to recover. I don't really get out of shape. I don't ever remember being out of shape even as a kid. As long as I'm able-bodied I want to fight. I don't think they could put me on that card because it was just too filled up so I think November is what they're looking at for me now... When I had told them I wanted to fight in September, the plan was for Takeya Mizugaki to wait and fight me then. But now that it's probably gonna be November, I'm not sure if that's gonna be the match up. It'll be up to him and the WEC. Either way it doesn't matter for me... I think there's some superfights out there for me. Maybe Miguel Torres. Of course Mizugaki. Those are two fights I'm looking at. We'll just see what happens. I still have plans to go back up and fight at 145 lbs. There are a lot of different options for me. I would definitely fight Dominick Cruz again. There aren't many people that I don't like, but he just rubs me the wrong way. He was disrespectful when we first fought and I don't like the way he carries himself. I can't wait to see Joseph [Benavidez] beat him up."
Former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber talked to Larry Pepe of Pro MMA Radio about his future in the fight game. "The California Kid" was forced to pull out of next week's WEC 50 card in which he was set to make his bantamweight debut against Takeya Mizugaki due to a knee injury suffered during training. Faber said he actually wanted to bounce right back and fight at WEC 51 in September, but Reed Harris and company had other plans. Now looking at a November return, Urijah has his sights set on possible match ups against Dominick Cruz, Miguel Torres, and the aforementioned Mizugaki. Who do you want to see him fight out of that bunch? Is there anyone else Faber is forgetting that you'd like to see him take on? Time to play matchmaker...

If Torres wasn't on such a losing streak
that would be a great fight. A win over Torres isn’t exactly what it used to be though. I am sure there are many that would love to see it though.

Win over Faber isn't what it used to be either; so I think it's still a good match up.

His butt-chin is getting bigger by the day, DAMN
I don’t think a win over Faber means nothing.. He hung in their with Aldo through that Ass-whooping and he gave hell to brown with breaks. They are no slouches, he has still owned everyone else..(Besides Griffin).
Torres on the other hand, a win doesn’t mean as much, I agree. As he has been stopped decisively twice.
He should get Mizugaki first.
I think he will lose that one though.

Faber fighting Torres is worthless
Because Benavidez already fucking tooled him. Faber should fight nobody other than Bowles, he’ll tap Cruz out just as fast as he did the first time. Faber should be moving up, not down, and taking on Benson.

you got it !
But aldo made him shit his pants so much.
That he lost weight and first have to pick on the little guys and build up some confidence before he moves up.
And what if faber tears to all those guys than we get that same bs with aka but than with team alpha male

He's racists..........
"Matt Hughes is the greatest welter weight of all time; I would lick the sweat off his hairy chest after a grueling work out if I could. The only person I look up to more than Matt Hughes is Jay; he’s trying patiently to teach me about MMA, being as I don’t know shit about the sport. Thanks Jay, you are my hero and one hell of a Canadian."
hahaha what!
Now i will look at his comments from a whole other view

Have the posterboys fight each other
They’re both on losing streaks, put on exciting fights and are the companies top draws so have them figt now whilst it’s still relevant. Neither of them deserve a title or top contender fight at any weight so let them face each other and give the winner a big fight next.
