I hate this guy with a passion

I wish he would stop with the burping and attention seeking. Really annoying

Please don't ever let Carwin fight Big Nog! It would result in death

Can't decide who I hate more, Penn or Edgar

Amen to that addict

Got no time for this hyperactive retard whatsoever.

whatever... i don't see any reason to hate this guy

I can name 10 guys off the top of my head, more boring, both in the cage, and outside of it. Flat personalities, and textbook repetitive answers don’t fly with me. Least this guy has a pulse, and is always in a good mood, and seemingly being himself at all times.

I actually agree

He goes 100% the whole fight, is always competitive, good wrestler, decent hands…

You guys don’t like him because he burps and jumps around? Seriously?

If he would cut his damn ugly hair he’d be one of my favorites.

It's not that I don't like him

it’s that the same people that bitch about Jon Fitch are in love with Clay Guida and GSP. They will boo one while cheering the other. Personally, I find Fitchy to be a much more exciting fighter than Clay Guida. Dancing around as you walk into the cage doesn’t equal a great fight to me.

Not quite.

Guida actually finished a fight.
The human backpack just hung on to Alves as much as possible.

Yeah, that was quite the finish by Guida

Amazing finishing skills. Almost Mortal Kombatesk.

Fitch is the 2nd best 170lber on the planet. Guida is not top ten as a LW. Finishes are great but winning is better.

the funny thing is

they both have 4 total finishes in the UFC. That includes the jaw injury from Saturday for Clay.

Not me, man. I’ve been highly critical of all of them. In fact, I was hating on Fitch before hating on Fitch was the “in” thing to do.

E-mail OJR, he will give it to you.

I don’t want to put it on here. There’s a couple guys on here I wouldn’t want knowing anything about me.

I actually have a similar problem

Its a gastrointestinal issue. Every time I workout it causes me to burp a lot. Hard to find guys to roll with when your burping in their face the whole time.

right. cause between rounds in a professional fight

…all that’s on Clay’s mind is “How can I get some attention right now before the next round, since I have nothing on my mind currently”.

Exactly

There’s no need whatsoever to do them that loud either. What’s wrong with putting your hand to your mouth also, manners aren’t the work of the devil!

i have to completely agree with you attakdog, i have met guida a couple times at ufc events (in the middle of the action)

and he was always calm, soft spoken, and easy to get along with, he was actually a very nice and polite guy. He was never full of energy bouncing off the walls and what not. He DEFINITELY hypes up the whole crazy caveman thing when the camera’s are rolling there is no disputing that. I understand he has a different mentality when he is about to fight somebody, but even in the interviews i have watched, in addition to his actions during/before fights, i can definitely say that my experiences meeting clay guida differ GREATLY from his personality everybody else sees.

You met him when he wasn't fighting. His personality might change when he has to fight.

You guys are nit-picking for no reason. He’s a good guy.

did you even read my post jay? because it contains the words "I understand he has a different mentality when he is about to fight somebody"

and did i say he wasn’t a good guy? i said his personality in front of the cameras differs greatly from his personality in interviews and in the cage. He was a great guy to talk to, very nice individual, i just hate his antics as a fighter….where as some people might love his belching and jumping around trying to act crazy. Too each his own.

by Blunt n' Beer on Aug 10, 2010 11:22 AM EDT up reply actions

I don't think he's acting though. Nerves and adrenaline might make him act like a jackass.

I personally hate his hair and the way his brother slaps him before every fight.
