Roger Gracie: 'St. Pierre doesn't depend only on his strengh and explosion'

Love or hate him, but you can’t say that UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre isn’t always trying to become a better fighter.

"Rush" is a frequent visitor to Brazil, training jiu-jitsu at Nova Uniao -- widely considered one of the best mixed martial arts gyms in the world -- and Gracie Barra, which is often referred to as the top grappling headquarters on the planet.

Sensei SporTV reported the that Canadian, who was recently in England for personal business, took time to visit three-time absolute world champion Roger Gracie. It was no doubt a rare opportunity for St. Pierre to improve the submission aspects of his ever-evolving game game.

Gracie complimented the ground skills of St. Pierre on the ground, saying:

"Georges is a great guy (as a person). As for his Jiu-Jitsu, he has a good technique, and that’s so true that he doesn’t depend only on his strength and explosion – his main skills on MMA".

The Gracie prospect also revealed his intention to compete in one more MMA fight before the end of the year , but there is currently nothing to report on that front as of now. Meanwhile, on the iju-jitsu front, Gracie plans not to compete until 2011.

Undefeated in MMA with three victories by submission, Gracie is coming off a win over veteran Kevin Randleman at Strikeforce: "Heavy Artillery." He is currently in England where he intends to run an academy.
