After his amazing come back win from getting his faced raped on UFC 116, my bro (massive Brock fan from his wwe days) started going on about how he is amazing and if anyone has the tools to beat the 280+ mountain of flat top. Well it got me thinking and am not denying his abilities or his potential but would Brock really be classed as number one heavyweight in the world if he wasn't champion?
Brock only has 5 wins in his career and if am brutally honest I'm not as impressed as I am watching the other number one weight division champions. He has beaten a gold medal Judoka, impressive but not in MMA. Kim Min-Soo was beating my Bob Sapp that's the end that discussion on him. Health Herring was good but i still say Brock layed on him apart from those knees. Then he beat an old man in Randy Couture but come on the odds were against him. He only had experience over him that and better stand up. Brock out weighed him by like 60 lbs and is about 10 years younger as well. Frank Mir i still think he can beat Brock he has the tools but his wrestling sucks so bad but having a advantage in wrestling can account for so much and seems to be the best base for starting an MMA career. Matt Hughes seemed to win a belt and become pretty dominant with it, it was only when people learned how to stop his take down that he started to get beat. Shane Carwin my oh my i really wanted him to win, i wanted him to win so much that i was bragging to my friends to take a picture of Brock with the belt because he was going to lose. Shane gave up, nothing round it, he gassed and had nothing left, over training? not training enough? i don't care dude gave up in my eyes. After all these fights and if none of them involved the belt would he be classed as number 1 heavyweight in the world. I say no every other division king has beaten at least 5 some times even more top ten fighter in their class. What do you's guy think?
