116 the morning after

I just finished watching it this morning sober and I'm still blown away. I'm trying to think of the last time that the 2 co main events lived up to the hype. I'm a Chris Leben fan but I did not expect that fght to be as exciting. Akyiama proved he has a chin and if he moved to WW he would be a serious contender. It kind of sucks for him though. He went from fighting a Wanderlai who is a shell of his Pride days to fighting a more focused Leben who was just coming off th high of a victory 2 weeks prior. I'm impressed by both and I think Leben/Wanderlai is a f'n barnburner.

There isn't much to say about Lesnar/Carwin other than WTF!!!!! 1st off I'll say this, gas tank or not, Carwin is still a beast in the HW division. He might not have the stamina for a full 5 rounds but not many people are going to make it out of the 1st with him. I personally don't think he gassed as much as punched himself out. Props to Brock, Most of the division wouldn't have made it out of the 1st. Carwin could easily earn a rematch and win. His power isn't going anywhere. As far as Brock, I think the biggest thing we saw tonight was he weathered a hell of storm and came back strong. All we heard leading up to this was Carwin's one shot power. Well Brock ate more than one clean shot and he did not fold. All props to you sir.

I already said that I want to see Leben/Silva, I'd love to see Carwin and JDS throw down if JDS gets by Big Country. And I'll just put this out there. I don't think Cain can beat Brock. Cain doesn't have the power to hurt Brock and while he might be a better wrestler,at least as good, Brock is still a big big man. Maybe too big for Cain. I'm sure we can argue about this for months though. I hope you all enjoyed the fights.
