UFC 116 lightweight Kurt Pellegrino takes exception to the fancy "pants" George Sotiropoulos wore in his win over Joe Stevenson last February in Australia. "Batman" doesn't want to rely on anything but his skills when the two 155-pound contenders throw down on the main card of tonight's pay-per-view from Las Vegas. Will the Aussie be at a disadvantage without his customized wardrobe?

neither has George Sotiropoulos?
He lost his biggest fight against Shinya Aoki because he kicked him in the balls but was getting his legs ripped off in the first round.
He’s getting by on a technically, the pants that Aoki uses in Japan are illegal under Unified Rules so George uses long under shorts and high ankle straps to get around it.
I hope Batman wins this one. I still like George as a fighter but I understand why everyone is on his back about this.
Batman will retire after this fight.

Don't Believe the Hype.
Soto is good but will get dominated by Batman. The pace will be too much for Soto and he will gas and get strangled.
Pelligrino is no pushover as a fighter...
…and the guy has shown a ton of heart. I think George will get all he can handle tonight.

George Is Not A Cheater
Actually wearing those ankle sleeves can put George at a disadvantage….It’s easier to get Leg Locked
except its one small disadvantage to quite a few advantages. Sure there is the small possibility of getting leg locked but you get way better control when in half guard,rubber guard, even full guard. its amazing how much even a little grip can help in jiu jitsu.
personally i wish gi’s were still allowed during the fights :P
