UFC 120 on Spike TV confirmed for Oct. 16 in London

As expected, UFC 120 will air via tape-delay courtesy of the Spike TV network when Zuffa blows the roof off the O2 Arena on Saturday, Oct. 16 in London, England.
Leading the charge of Britain's best butt-kickers will be Michael "The Count" Bisping in a hard-hitting middleweight battle against Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama in the main event of the evening.
Joining them will be Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy as he tries to fight his way back into 170-pound title contention against Carlos "Natural Born Killer" Condit in the co-featured fight of the night.

when Bisbing gets tossed around and beaten by Sexy and when Hardy is exposed for what he is, a decent fighter who never deserved a title shot.

I'll laugh if Bisping loses as I expect him to, he doesn't have the power to trouble Sexyama and he won't be able to defend the judo throws and trips and his guard is only good defensively
As for Hardy, I expect him to beat Condit. I am just not convinced by Carlos, his striking is very sloppy and will be exposed by a good striker, with powerful hands like Dan whilst Condit’s takedowns aren’t great and there’s no way that Dan is going to be daft enough to go to the ground with him. Condit won’t quit but I see him leaving an opening and Dan will exploit with a hook that drops him.

you never can count out Condit but a Hardy decision seems the most likely to me. Condit has never been knocked out and Hardy isn’t a big power guy.

Question: Do you think GSP went easy on Hardy when he had him in those subs? I think he could have definitely broken something, he had him locked up damn tight. To me it looked like George hesitated and could’nt ‘pull the trigger’ and just break it (which is how Hardy escaped). Seems he lacks that killer instinct if you ask me.

Go back and look at his first loss to Hughes. He holds other fighters in high regard and would probably feel guilty causing serious injury. He COULD have destroyed Hardy… I think most intelligent fans witnessing the bout could tell.

The day after I said that fight should be our main event to K-dog it was announced for 121
I’m sure that was done just to spite me. And so much for the Vitor-Bisping rumour, just one of the many letdowns from this show.
Oh well at least it saved me hundreds of quid, even the promise of an expo won’t convince me to waste my money on this joke of a show.

They’ve stuck the expo on at Earls court, one of the more westerly points of london, yet the 02 arena’s just about the most easterly point of London. Anyone wishing to attend both on the Saturday’s faced with a 90 minute tube journey from one end of the capital to the other. Who’s bright idea was that???

It’ll just be exactly like our fight cards ie nothing like the North American ones, probably one autograph table featuring Terry Etim and Denis SIver (cant see Lesnar and GSP making the trip somehow), a couple of tapout stalls and a video message from Dana White. Doubt he’d dare show up in person.

Hey attackdog. The only venues capable of holding the Expo are Earls Court and Excel. Excel is closer, but there are 2 massive expos there that weekend, and the public transport grinds to a halt. So Earls Court would take the same amount of time or less than getting to Excel.
Also Excel is a hideous part of town, and no one stays out there. A lot of people from outside London stay in hotels around Earls Court, so will be more convenient for them.
If youre going to the fight and want to go as well, then either go on Friday or go earlier..

I’m exactly the same, stay in Scotland so would need flights, hotels and spending money not to mention tickets!! I went the last time at the u2 and had a great time, but no way in hell i’m paying through the nose for this!! I like a couple of fights but it’s a disgrace that this is a main event!!
I care not for uk fighters, instead enjoy watching the best in mma..this card is far from that!!

Is Dana pissed at the UK for something? He does know the revolution is over, right? We’re all friends now? Seems like Dana thinks the UK is the equivalent of where you take your dog to take a dump – serves a purpose but you don’t do much to spice the place up.
This blows goats for UK fans. If you buy tickets and go you are supporting really bad cards. If you boycott and don’t buy tickets, UFC will say it’s a bad market and we’re not throwing shows there anymore because fans don’t go.

I hope the UK fans boycott this garbage card and send the UFC a message. The UK has great MMA fans and they don’t deserve all these crap cards. In the US, we can skip a card and just go to the next one a month later, the UK fans have to wait a year or so between cards. I thought it couldn’t get worse than the Couture/Vera card, but this one is definitely worse!
