As highly as i think of Fedor, Reem is a helluva fighter
Heres my thoughts of Reeem, at 205lbs he was weak and had no power and got Ko’d easily. The way his career was going most people would have folded thei tent and went home, he stuck at it. He began an intensive training regiment and over 5 years he turned himself into what his frame was, a heavyweight. He gained confidence in his size, fought some very low key guys but, hell he bsaically restarted his career and did it slowly. He now has the confidence to fight against the elite, who are in N. America. He destroyed Rogers, a man like it or not was overpowering Fedor and did very well. He is on a high of wins right now and i’d love to see him take on Fedor next because lets be honest, who acres about werdum/fedor 2 lol.

One thing tho: How can Fedor fight the champ after a loss? Just doesn’t seem right to me.

The man has had little experience in MMA and was thrown to the wolves against Fedor/Reem back to back. rogers is good raw strength and power and could beat some top ten guys IMO.

Brock got spanked that entire first round and was completely owned. There was three times during the first where things were dicey enough to warrant a stoppage.

Shane gassed becasue he threw so many shots that were getting blocked if a quarter of them connected it would of been lights out for anybody most likely but not once did Brock go limp or show signs that he could not continue. It’s retarded to say a fight should be stopped when a fighter is clearly defending himself. As soon as the ref stated for Brock to do something Brock showed the ref he was still coherent and kicked Carwin of twice! Then he was able to get back up!
Any fighter that throws as many power shots as Carwin did will gas a bit unless your GSP or Sherk.

that’s panic mode. If the same thing would have happened the other way around, every Brock lover would have been up in arms because the fight wasn’t stopped. The truth is, Brock was hurt, he put his head down, his massive arms up and was allowed a minute and a half to recover. Shane gassed cause he dumped his adrenaline believing he was in a dominant position, punishing (not saying causing damage) an opponent who was not defending, who was not in any position TO defend and the fight was going to be stopped. and he was right for believing that. Am I in the minority? Probably. Am I wrong. Maybe. does it change that I feel this way? Not at all.
I guess the difference in opinion is what you and I consider defending yourself. Staying still in a single position without showing any signs of life, regardless of whether or not we know you’re coherent or not, is not a legitimate defense in my book.

Like I said both times the ref shouted for Brock to move he did, against a power striker like Carwin you are not going to open your guard becasue one solid strike can = KO. Brock made sure he was protected, Brock wanted the fight on the ground more than anything against Carwin. It’s not opinion he was defending himself it is a fact.

Arlovski is not the champion, he has never fought for DREAM.. they don't have a HW champ/belt yet
That guy is trolling or something. It was supposed to be a fight for the DREAM heavyweight belt though, but it didn’t happen. DREAM currently doesn’t have a HW champ, but they’re keen on crowning Overeem and he wants that belt. They just need to find a somewhat relevant opponent first I guess.

Well, they have Overeem, and the occasional can they throw a him :) Other than in the Super Hulk tournament, I don’t think I’ve seen any heavyweight fight more than once in the organization, except for Overeem that is. Could be mistaken, but yeah like you said they basically don’t have anyone else on a regular basis in that division.

Have nothing better to do so I did some quick fact checking and I was wrong, there are a few that have fought twice, like Sergei Kharitonov and Halek Gracie. Also Cro-cop, but that seems somewhat irrelevant now.
Barnett versus Overeem would be pretty cool, but other than that yeah their heavyweight division is extremely thin.
