Pointless rematch that only puts the loser in a deep hole.

I’m sick of all the rematches. Take your loss, shut the fuck up and move on.

by SHORT_BUS on Jul 19, 2010 9:33 PM EDT reply actions

this one...

warrants a rematch…

Nog should have pulled out because he was in the hospital days before the fight with a staph infection.

Lets see them both at full strength.

Interesting poster.

Whats Interesting Striker Just Curious.

And your right this one warrants a rematch. We can silience so many peopel and answer so many questions through this. However, the loser is overall screwed in terms of being on the road to recovery. However if Nog puts Frank to sleep … then we have a trilogy

by AintNoSunshine on Jul 19, 2010 9:46 PM EDT up reply actions

No trilogy

Mir will prove he is the better fighter once again

i fucking hate trilogys, they are mostly pointless....how many good mma trilogys have their actually been? like where all 3 fights were worth a fuck?

shamrock/tito?

i mean hell, does anyone want to see a gsp/serra rubber match? fuck no…but why not? both guys won their matches DECISIVELY….

rubber matches rarely if ever payoff….and keep fighters who only fight 3 times a year tied up too fucking long..especially if the 3rd match isnt competitive at all…

i mean does anyone really want to see tito/forrest 3? fuck no…rubber matches are pointless…i cant think of any trilogys that actually had 3 fights where all 3 paid off…

hughes/gsp? gsp DESTROYED hughes in the last 2 fights…there was NO point in that 3rd fight…3 fights are never worth it

Yep,

There’s enough competition out there to avoid constant rematches. Even alot of back to backs are going on now? I totally agree with the Shogun-Machida match because of the first one being so argumentive. But BJ instantly gets Frankie, Fedor is going to get Werdum, Mir and Nog? They never had to host a Rampage – Silva trilogy either, Wand is my fav so that one pissed me off a bit, haha

Was there any point in the third Chuck/Randy fight though?

Was it surprising to you who won? There was no point in holding that fight at all.

actually, at the time i thought it was well worth it..

randy whooped chuck the first time.. chucked ko’d randy the next… randy was still very competitve, and alot of people wanted to see the rubber match…

i remember it being a very anticipated fight….

by ricky~dooby on Jul 20, 2010 10:07 AM EDT up reply actions

well, i see what you're saying,

But, I dunno, I just saw some controversy in the chuck win, due to Randy slipping, and Chuck catching him then, and finishing him off. And 1-1 warrants a rematch when those are your 2 biggest stars at the time.

And I enjoyed all 3. But I see what you’re getting at.

i enjoyed all 3 as well, and thought they were well deserved fights, for both the fighters & the fans..

Hell yeah striker

I think this is long overdue. Many believe NOG lost becasue he was sick but either way we want to find out. I like when fighters face eachother two or three times it proves so much more. You never know if a fighter was just off, made a mistake he usually never makes etc. BJ Penn has defended and won so many in a row he deserves a rematch. I would love to see NOG and Couture 2 as well, or Fedor vs Werdum or Fitch vs Alves, or Rua vs Rampage, PAge vs Evans, NOG vs Cain, Gegard vs King Mo………….I can name many I would love to see either becasue they were close or suspect that a fighter was not on top of his game for that fight.

Lil Nog could have taken other opponent. He’s on the way to the title despite his latest performance. The main fight is good. Looking forward to see an renewed Big Nog for Mir, who also comes off an upset.

i see Bader and Big Nog taking the wins

No, it's a cardigan but thanks for noticing.

by frickintony37 on Jul 19, 2010 9:50 PM EDT reply actions

So let's get this straight

Mir is in a co-main event and get’s pummeled in round one and then now headlines his next fight. Pretty weak if you ask me. At least I don’t see PPV anywhere, but if it is, I’ll need a break from 116, 117 and 118.

I will say though, I was in between the two Nogs at the buffet at Mandalay Bay getting crablegs after UFC 106 on the Sunday night. Cool poster in that regard

Don't worry he will be on the air prelims on spike.

Which is better too get his name out there.

this poster sucks, UFC posters are pretty cool, this one just looks like a red garbage. i coulda made that

by enjoimike49 on Jul 19, 2010 10:10 PM EDT reply actions

all UFC posters suck

This one is just red. Normally its a “daring” black background. This is the “most creative” one I’ve seen. Saddens me. The writing off the fighters names, and the off centered stance of the fighters, is the largest “risk” thus far. I like both. But its the blandness of the rest of it.

Figure it out boys, you guys can do better on your posters.

Massive Achievement for the Nog's . . .

Can you imagine being on a UFC paper view with your brother. How proud must you and your family be. When you step back and think of it like that, WOW, what an achievement.

LETS GO TAG TEAM ACTION!!

BiG Nog distracts the ref by dropping his shorts while the ref aint looking LiL NoG comes in with a Chair WHAM!!!!!! Mir is down Big Nog jumps on him soon as the ref restarts the action and wins via Mir being out cold already!

If you dont like drugs then dont do them.....give them to me!

Forgot my pics

LiL Nog via TKO/sub round 1
MiR via TKO

Big Nog aint what he used to be not even close even at 100% NOW its like him being at 60%of his past self, and this is the best Mir ever.

Bader is good real explosive pretty heavy handed he can win but its not likely his sub defense for sure is not as good as Nogs last opponent.

If you dont like drugs then dont do them.....give them to me!

The best Mir ever? Wow. I’d hate to see how bad he gets the shit kicked out of him when he’s off.

I agree

How the hell does the UFC keep selling Big Nog as a main event?
