bones is extremely beatable.. i dont see him even beating bader to be honest, i think jones will fall victim to the cutting to much weight or being to tall and lean at his weight class and need to go up to to hw i know i will get flamed for saying it but hes what 6’5? taller than lesnar, carwin,cain,and as tall as reem i dont see him being able to stop a wrestler with a double leg like baders even though hes a great greco wrestler he makes a lot of mistakes and takes to many risks, the upper tier guys will just pick at that..

Jones is a young/up and comer with serious fundementals. I expect and accept that he will lose a fight or two. Its almost required.

I'd like to know why people "aren't sold" on Bones
It just seems to be a case of being different for the sake of it. I’d like to see a solid argument to back up not being impressed or rating a 21 year old LHW prospect with an 84 inch reach, who originally taught himself MMA and still won his early fights easily, is training at a top camp (Jacksons), has an improvised striking style that you can’t plan for, quality greco-roman wrestling that has allowed him to throw around successful wrestlers like O’Brien, Hamill and Vera like ragdolls and has yet to face real adversity in his pro career after 11 fights. The kid is a real talent and was born a star in a family of athletes, I’m very excited by his progress and but for a lack of experience I don’t see any way in which you can criticise him or his talent. I’d like to see some real criticism rather than generic “I don’t rate him” posts, back them up with logic.

at ufc 112 all Frankie did in that fight was SURVIVE. He survived 5 rounds with BJ Penn. & he did a pretty good job.

Can't agree with anybody who tries to say...
that GSP is P4P better than Silva. He’s not! Simple as that.
Anderson Silva haters will be back on his nuts after he gets another amazing KO just like when he embarrassed Forrest like nobody else could. GSP can't even finish people in his own weight division. The only time Andy goes the distance is against a so, so fighter who he either isn't motivated to fight or just toys with them. Get a top fighter in there and watch him get destroyed within 2 rounds. He's bored at MW, get him to LHW so he can take that belt too and let's watch GSP be brave enough to take a fight at MW.
Lesnar isn't the most skilled fighter but until somebody beats him he is the #1 HW in the world. It's obviously not Fedor and sure as hell isn't Werdum!

This kind of "hype" is usually found in professional wrestling. More entertainment than sport.
It’s no wonder the sports section of legitimate newspapers barely acknowledge MMA.
Well, he has done well to make me want to see Anderson kick the shit out of him, as I’ll concede that I was not as interested in the fight as I am now. But he’s hardly a “genius.” That word is thrown about too loosely.
But I can’t see how anyone can respect him or even like him much since he speaks so much shit. He’s a shit talker all right. That’s all he is. It requires little skill. If he was anything close to a “genius” he would be able to back up what he has said and maintain his own credibility. How can he back up that he hasn’t lost at middleweight? How can he back up the way he discredits other good and better fighters than he is? Referring to Franklin disparagingly as a “maths teacher” as if to say he’s not a world-class fighter, and saying the 205-pound division is weak, especially since it had a karate guy as a champion, does nothing but prove that Sonnen does indeed talk shit—it flows from his mouth from the swelling cesspool of shit inside him. Both have completely different styles and the Spider has vastly superior skills than Semtex and is far harder to control and neutralise on the ground as unlike Daley he actually has an offensive guard and quality TDD as well as better striking plus Sonnen and Kos aren’t even the same style of wrestler.

Sonnen has a habit of falling into submissions
Even a drugged up Filho caught him in an armbar, Horn submitted him a bunch of times and Maia dropped him on his head then triangled him. He also almost got caught against Miller and Marquardt, you can’t do that against a guy with great chokes off his back like Anderson. And Maia never once got Silva on the ground, yes the same Maia that took down and submitted Sonnen at 95 was made to look very silly everytime he attempted a takedown before the Spider started clowning around and turned the fight into a joke. Sonnen’s a threat but he makes sloppy mistakes plus he’s motivated Andy by talking so much crap for so long, especially after he insulted the Nogs. Chael’s also never been in a fight for 25 minutes, so even if he survives Andy’s early counterpunching and grinds out the early rounds I doubt that he’ll last the pace. There’s no way that he’ll “tool this guy terribly”, when “this guy” is Anderson Silva. Mark my words, Andy will go 12-0 in the UFC and break the consecutive title defence record by beating Sonnen.
Funny how the consensus #2 MW in the world at the time suddenly became an old man who didn’t take the fight seriously and wasn’t in shape, the day before the fight he was the Pride champion who was supposedly the man to beat Silva. Revisionism always makes me laugh.

Zino,If you honestly think Gilbert Melendez and the most overrated fighter in the 3 major organizations Shinya Aoki are honestly better than Bj Penn there is something lacking in your mma knowledge,Aoki has world class jiu jitsu everything else he’s prolly the worst at,that’s why he lost to melendez like that and would lose to more than 75% of ufc lightweight’s and for you to disrespect Bj Penn’s talents and ability as well as natural athleticism is just straight bonkers.Here is what I mean,How do we know Bj Penn is not just good but Great?Because he has fought world class talents in the most stacked lightweight and welterweight divisions which is in the ufc,and not just fight them but dominate the majority of them.He fought Lyoto Machida at heavyweight and did great he Didn’t win but he did land and cause the more signifigant damage,He also might have lost to St Pierre but the first time he Fudged him up more than anyone has before.How do we know that Melendez and Aoki are great honestly we don’t when your in strikeforce or dream there people who do there matchmaking suck they tailor make there fights for the more marketable fighters to the point where it’s almost like boxing,If them fighters go to the ufc they will get tested within the first fight and honestly I think Aoki would lose right away and Melendez would lose to guy’s like Kenny Florian Edgar and Penn but beat the rest and it would be good for Melendez because he would reach his full potential,Melendez Might actually go to the ufc I heard.I also wanna get to the Chael “PR Stuntman”Sonnen,Granted Silva’s antics were too much against Maia.I cant stand Sonnen and it’s because of his disrespect,While I think Sonnen has a chance and it’s because wrestling is the strongest asset in mma know like BJJ was when the gracies were dominating,I actually see Silva winning this fight by Triangle.I am not a Anderson Silva fan but Chael Sonnen’s antics are WAY WAY WAY outta line and he should be fined.If it was a major sport and let’s say Trent Edwards was smack talking Tom Brady like that he would be fined the day after,I won’t use Peyton Manning as an example because that would be giving Chael Sonnen WAY to much respect I mean Chael’s got more losses than Peyton Manning does but we won’t go there.I also wanna say that there are know more cowardly men if the ufc than Chael Sonnen and Frank Mir and Mir used to be my favorite fighter,anyway.They are both using “PR” (Public Relations)Stunts and bringing down 2 Fellow Human’s that Sweat,bleed and dedicate themselves to the sport they love just the same they claim to,They use there stunts to make fans and money and Sonnen also does it to gain votes,which anyone who votes for Sonnen according to his antics need to reflect on there beliefs,Sonnen has proven to be a Low life,inconsiderate,indescent,intolerable infection to mma and if he get’s into any ANY Chair in ANY Part of office would be a disgrace in the USA Based on his antics
