Leben has 10 UFC wins, Akiyama has 1. Does "The Crippler" have a right to be perturbed? Or does "Sexyama" have enough overseas wins to ask for a bigger name?

with only a couple weeks till the fight, akiyama should just be happy he isn’t getting shelved till september or later. it’s more important to be on a card with brock lesnar than the opponent you face right now. with the possibility of 1.5 mill + buys vs a possible 350,000 +buys in a silva vs akiyama ppv headliner, he should be happy.

Sexyama isn't as big a draw as Leben
At the end of the day, it’s about putting butts into seats. I think Leben can put more in there than Sexyama. Sexyama should just be happy he is fighting a name that he should be able to beat and thus, enlarge his own.

Using no way as way, having no limitation as limitation.
Maybe not necessarily his skill set, but mentally he seems 1000 times sharper than he did during his TUF days. He has a good sense of his career and his place in the UFC.

Leben has become so much more mature about the fight game.
He is down to earth and humble. He is not out of this fight by any means. Yamma is the favorite, but Leban is always a puch away from winning a fight and it is very rare that anyone puts him away. In 27 fights he has only been TKO’d once (that was by Anderson-which is no suprise) and only been submitted 2 times. I like Leben for the upset here though. I am a bit of a fan …..

I wouldn't be surprised if Leben won
he is way bigger than Akiyama. However, I would not also be surprised if Akiyama hosed him.
I know that is lame of me, but it is the truth.

If Leben does win, what should be next for him?
He’s a gamer, always has exciting fights and a granite chin. The only issue is fighting again so quickly for Leben. Did he really come out of that fight fine? He says he’s healthy, we’ll see. He’s definity right about how big an opportunity it is for him. He could definitly leap frog some in the MW division with an impressive win.
So, i’ll say Leben 2rd TKO.
But my questions for maniacs is, if Leben does win, what should be next for him?

I didn’t see how the judges gave him the win over Belcher….
I would easily say Leben will win but my only concern is his cardio…
He seems to always gas fairly quick and yet somehow knocks people out with a slow powerful punch… If he can not gas too hard I see him winning….

People mistake this guy’s fame for worthiness as a fighter. He has done nothing to prove he’s any higher than Leben is.

i definitely wouldn’t call leben an unworthy opponent. i think the short notice change in opponent for akiyama will make for a more interesting and close fight. i think sexyama will win a decision b/c he’s a better fighter technically than leben, and also a smarter fighter. however, if leben can draw akiyama into a fire fight sexy will get knocked out
What I like about the video is...
Midway through Leben is going on and on about how he imposes his will and never really trains any differently. He watches a little tape, but that’s it. Then at the end he says how Simpson and Akiyama are so different and that he has to game plan differently for each guy.
I would love for Leben to fight KOS agian
