Strikeforce signs lightweight standout Gesias 'JZ' Cavalcante

Brazilian and American Top Team (ATT) lightweight fighter Gesias Cavalcante signed a one year contract with Strikeforce, partner of Japanese organization DREAM.

"JZ" is expected to compete for the San Jose-based fight promotion in October following his contest against Katsunori Kikuno in the DREAM 15 event on July 10.

Miesha Tate's arm is surely hurting like hell today following her submission loss to Ronda Rousey at last night's (March 3, 2012) Strikeforce event in Ohio but it's not all bad. She may have lost her women's bantamweight championship belt but she was crowned the winner of the one and only MMAmania.com sexiness battle. She beat out Rousey by a mere 33 votes. Ronda Rousey breaks Miesha Tate's arm (GIF) at Strikeforce in Columbus, Ohio, last night (Sat., March 3, 2012). Amazingly enough, this was the second attempted armbar, as Tate escaped the first, though it looked as though her arm may have popped there as well.
