oh darn yager got cut

shucks, I’m really disappointed

by stak on Jun 29, 2010 11:10 AM EDT reply actions

Suprised they released Yager

Thought they would give him another fight

Me too

I figured he would be the next Guillard, the way they were massaging his nuts in the finale match. You know, the guy who can’t beat anyone noteworthy, but “has tons of potential”.

I’m glad he’s gone.

who cares, good riddance to this stupid cunt....proof to future contetants that just because you act like a douche and try to be the "personality" in the house

it doesnt mean a FUCKING THING if you dont back it up in the octagon….fucking cunt..fuck him

the brockness monster grinds up teenagers and puts them in his protein shakes..and uses razor blades to chop toddlers up into lines to snort like meth...the reason no one can find bigfoot is because the brockness monster found him years ago and now has him in numerous ziplock bags in the back of his freezer...

I thought Josh Bryant would have been given another shot. I’m glad yager is gone though.

me too

Bryant I think will make a good showing in another org.

Honestly I thought Bryant would get one more shot

I thought he had a couple of things going for him to get another chance. I figured he would drop down to WW and could parlay the loss due to the size disadvantage. Many guys join the show at their walk-around weight due to unknown fight schedule and most will end up dropping down. Given that he put on some good performances and showed some knockout power on the show combined with how mostly with seeming to be in Chuck’s good graces, I think we will see him again in a lighter weight class.

Are they really releasing these guys?

If you don’t win the show you don’t get a contract, so is this a release?

I don’t get it.

Well they dot get the 6 figure contract

But still probly a 3 fight deal if they win or something and none of them did. We see most of the guys, who didn’t win the show, fight for 8k/8 for a while until their stock goes up and they get paid better. The winner will fight 12/12 for the first yr. 24/24 yr 2. And 36/36 yr 3 with the assumption of 3 fights per yr which could end around 400k if they were to win all 9 in 3 yrs

by Wingblade on Jun 29, 2010 11:55 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions

But only the winner gets a guaranteed contract, so these guys weren't released, they just weren't offered a contract.

They haven’t lost a job, they were never hired in the first place.

They probably get some sort of contract for one fight

with the stipulation of more fights if they win or have a good showing….

Just a thought. but I see where you’re coming from jay.

where did you get these numbers from?

past winners are starting out making 15/15 per fight

by stak on Jun 29, 2010 12:56 PM EDT up reply actions

If even some of the finalists aren’t worthy of being offered any type of contract, it may be time to pull the plug on TUF.

None of these guys were finalists.

They’re just bums that lost on the show, a couple losses on the show for some of them.

yep...the show is BRU-TAL!!! Give it a rest for 5 years then try again

they're trying too hard to find fighters with personalities

And when that can’t be done, they go with avg fighters with personalities and work their way down to mediocre fighters with personalities….when’s the last time you saw a great fighter on this show w/o some sort of personality to show or “background” issues to exploit?

I don’t think they try to find fighters with personalities. This last show was pretty fucking boring in that regard.

So much for everyone going on and on about Yager being superior to the other guys. He did nothing to prove throughout the whole show other than knock out the small guy who didn’t belong there. His personality fooled many people into thinking otherwise.

They should dramatically change the format of the show or axe it until they come up with something different and better. The concept is good: fuck Survivor where the “tribe has spoken”—you have to fight to stay in! That’s a good way to kick people out. But the rest of TUF is almost boring.

Maybe they should blend the two: The Ultimate Survivor.

15 fighters from each team are marooned on an island off the coast of Borneo. Only one can survive. Using spears, nets, and shivs, these fighters must fight to the death for the chance to win a UFC contract and a date with Arianny. Do you wanna be a fucking Survivor?

No? Okay, sorry. I’ll crawl back into my hole now.
