Strikeforce medical suspensions and injuries for 'Fedor vs Werdum'

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) today issued its list of medical suspensions for the Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Werdum" event that took place this past Saturday night (June 26) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
With several of the bouts ending early (and violently), there were a handful of fighters who were flagged follow up visits with their doctors.
Chief among them is Jan Finney for her starring role in the snuff film directed by Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos. "Cuddles" could be shelved for up to 180 days pending a physician's clearance due to multiple facial injuries.
Also getting benched for taking a lopsided beating was the venerable Scott Smith. "Hands of Steel" suffered facial lacerations from the onslaught of middleweight foe Cung Le.
But that's not all.
Here is the complete list of Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Werdum" injuries and their medical instructions:
Gareth Joseph: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons pending a new physical.
Ron Keslar: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons pending a new physical.
Josh Thomson: Suspended 180 days (180 days no contact) for a rib fracture pending physician's clearance.
Jan Finney: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for knockout loss pending a new physical. Additional suspensions of 60/60 for right facial lacerations and 180/180 for orbital fracture pending physician's clearance.
Scott Smith: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for knockout loss pending a new physical. Additional suspension of 60/60 for left facial laceration pending physician's clearance.
Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.

Funny thing about the Fedor fight is if he would have taken a page
out of Anderson Silva’s book and basically refused to go to the ground he probably would completely eliminate the chance of an upset. It would be highly unlikely that Werdum would ever drop Fedor or put him in trouble on the feet. I know that the Anderson lovers are going to say yeah but he wins and Fedor lost. But that just makes me love and respect Fedor more because he went in for the kill. I know in hindsight that turned out to be reckless but you’ve gotta love his killer mentality. Anderson would have just kicked at Werdum’s legs and motioned for him to stand up. Then he would have danced around all night and decisioned him.
and you fedor lovers can stop making excuses now...
Its over.

Snuff film?
So…it’s a snuff film if it’s two women going at it but not if it’s Fedor crunching Big Nog like a can? or Timmey beating the hell out of Nog? Or Bob Sapp destroying Big Nog?
Come on, it either is always a snuff film and shouldn’t be allowed (and Big Nog would have lost about half the fights he’s won) or it should be allowed for all pro fighters, including women.
I’m on Kim’s corner, she did a masterful (mistressful? :) job of ref’ing that fight.
