only 4 guys under 10k

Yeah
Or he might have to sell one of his Ferrari’s D:
Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!

People always cry about UFC pay for a reason Kev
As Dana and you and others always say UFC is biggest(best) promotion so why the fuck is someone getting paid 4k a fight???
If you dont like drugs then dont do them.....give them to me!

The UFC pays for Room and Travel
for the fighter and anywhere between 1-4 of your cornermen
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:23 PM EDT up reply actions
no, UFC pays for that
4k gets u in the best organization in the world, if you deserve to be there, it’ll take care of itself. assuming ANS was right about sponsors, that guy who made 4k prob made another 10-15 in sponsors to do what we’d all love to do.
One Major Sponsor Usually
tends to mean anywhere between 5-8k. Plus clothing if its a clothing biz.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:26 PM EDT up reply actions
exactly
plus 5 or 6 smaller sponsors, so say 12-15k in sponsor money plus 4k to fight. I’d take it in my first UFC event. wn and I get more next contract
I Remember So Many Guys I Trained With
wouldnt even care their fight purse so long as they had TapOut, Etc as their sponsor because the real monet and benefits came from that but in order to get those high profile companies you had to be in a a huge stage (****UFC****)
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:29 PM EDT up reply actions
also
if you perform, Dana is notorious for “hooking you up” like giving Shogun his win bonus in first machida fight or hughes a million for beating Gracie (Royce)
Dana Also Is All About Royalties
i Know he will give out passes, tickets, things going on in town, he can get you show passes, ball game tickets, he will buy a meal, buy drinks, he is a loyal man if you bring positive to his company
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:32 PM EDT up reply actions
and who wouldn't be
if you make me money (back when I had my own business) id take care of you. same today, I’m as loyal as they come to those I love/like, which is a handful. But of course he’s gonna treat guys that are loyal, loyal right back!
so keith jardine must be a multi millionair then right?
company guy with 13 huge fights in the ufc. he must never need to work again after giving his soal to dana for 5+ years, right guys?

That’s generous for beating Royce at that point if his career , I’m not arguing about the payments really they should just spread the wealth a little better IMO

It Wasnt About Beating Gracie
It was the principle and the whole stuff surrounding the fight. Do you know how much coverage their was for this fight at that time was crazy

Thats Just What It Is During The Time Were In
None of those guys are complaining because if they are in the UFC most likely they doubled if not tripled sponsors which at that level pays better then all organizations do anyways.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:23 PM EDT up reply actions
he prob made more that night than I made last year
thats why not too many guys are complaining. same conversation every time with we people that break it down giving same explanations. geez (no offense smitty) but everyone on that card who fought 3 times for UFC this yr made 6 figures for the yr, just a fact!
fuck 6 figures
if you think 100k (before taxes) is what a top althlete in one of the worlds top sports in the top promotion is what they deserve then your insane.
THE FIGHTERS NEED A UNION!

Take half of that money from Ben Rothwell
and divvy it up too give it to Rory Mcdonald, Peter Sobotta, David Loiseau and Ricardo Funch.
Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!
I don’t understand why Thiago only gets that it’s stupid to me they need to base these things a little differently not just on ppv pull
by stebrillz on Jun 24, 2010 8:21 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
He Probably Has a Set Contract
Fighters dont get paid different amounts each fight. Come on guys its the same argument everytime. Thiago probably gets the same amount or close to as when he started most contracts increase yearly for the duration of the contract. The guys that get paid that amount didnt get forced to sign it.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:24 PM EDT up reply actions
I sort of agree
But PPV pull = money so it’s hard.
Also, when guys get signed to the UFC they sign a contract for x amount of fights at x dollars.
So when guys enter the UFC like Paulo did as a relative unknown and mix things up, it takes them a bit to resign at a higher rate of pay.
Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!
No Franklin
anyone with a win bonus wont get PPV money
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 8:30 PM EDT up reply actions
thats what I thought
but I wanted to leave myself some wiggle room. I know it’s only a handful of guys that get it
BJ
chuck
silva
brock
Randy
GSP
see a trend guys!
Also... Most Champions At least the "Named" Ones
Like Im pretty sure Rashad got PPV at least once if not twice.

He deserves it, I’ll always pay to see him.

ur right Shaiz
draws are the guys getting ppv money.
Rashad got it only for being the champ though, I don’t see him as much of a draw
rashad/rampage did great
he had alotta help with that tho

Going to church doesnt make you any more Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.
I didnt mean PPV revenue share
I meant like pull, fighters that make people buy a card.
But ya I think you’re right, I think only Chuck got revenue share from that.
Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!
truth
He’s a company man, I’m sure they take care of him.
Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!
I agree
thats why I said on TUF end. Up and leaving ur family on 1 days notice I’m sure got him paid decently. as far as the fight, he had a full camp!
Plus he got the coaches bonus
For one weeks work.
Going to church doesnt make you any more Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.
I thought Franklin would make alot more than that...
Oh and crocop is getting way too much, he deserves about $5000 for his performance.

Damn
As everyone in the UFC banks, billion dollar corp., sold out gates, T.V. revenue, merchandising, pay per view revenue, and the fighters don’t get shit. Rory made 8,000 to have his face pushed in. I mean in honesty i’d almost be ashamed if i was the UFC brass. The UFC needs a union so bad it’s unreal. Fighters need to start thinking about not only themselves but future fighters coming up. UNION

We come from the realm of reality
We fight, and don’t make shit for it, i’ve been doing martial arts since i was 5 years old, and the most i got paid on a local show was 200 bucks. They need a union otherwise your going to have a bunch of dudes with no money and a rattled brain. Until you’ve stepped in there and fought you wouldn’t understand.
by MasterWhiteTiger on Jun 24, 2010 9:25 PM EDT up reply actions
Lol....okay well the problem with a union
is there are too many independent organizations in MMA. you cant force them all to be part of a union. if the UFC bought all the orgs of MMA then sure a fighter union would be great. But the NFL, MLB, Etc are all one big entity for that sport. MMA doesnt have that. So until you learn some business you need to calm it down there bud. And sorry but if you have been training for MMA since 5 and the most you have made was 200 then you have the wrong management and team behind you. Just a thought.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 9:29 PM EDT up reply actions
I said the UFC
I know you can’t union all of MMA, but as far as fighters in the UFC they could union, your point about NFL, MLB, is taken, but UFC claims to be the NFL of MMA, so by that fact the org needs a union for the fighters sake. Man i don’t have any management, I’m lucky if the other guys shows up half of the time haha. My last fight i had 4 different opponents in 2 weeks. That’s what regional MMA gets you nothing, that’s why i’m a nurse.
by MasterWhiteTiger on Jun 24, 2010 9:40 PM EDT up reply actions
The Problem Is
The UFC wants to be as big as the NFL not in the monopoly sense that there are the entire sport. They never will be. So if the UFC places a Union then they would have to have a smaller roster because they wouldnt be able to just cut fighters and wouldnt have a fixed payroll like they do now which would send a huge tidal wave of consequences. Less sponsors, heavly over volume in smaller un-unioned organizations that will pay even shittier. Trust me. Until this sport is 8-10 years older, a fighter union shouldnt even be thought of.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 9:50 PM EDT up reply actions
aint no i do not understand you mma union argument at all
Why would all of mma need a union? The baggers at my local grocery store belong to a union and its not the same one as the grocery store you shop at. UFC could have its own union and the smaller orgs could follow. UFC would actually attract the best fighters because they would have the 1st union.
Aint no your honestly the last poster on here that I would expect to be arguing with about this. You train with these guys, you see what they do on a dailey basis to fight for those 3 glorious rounds and a few grand. You know better then anyone that barely anyone in this sport has made millions.

What Everyone Doesnt Understand Is
These guys all have contracts so no matter what someone is gonna get paid more and someone will be paid less, sometimes its fair sometimes its not. But the thing is the fighters sign their contracts entailing what they get paid. The UFC doesnt just say hey lets underpay Rich Franklin and Over Pay Cro Cop. Mirko probably signed a nice fat deal that seals that same amount for 4-6 fights. Rich may have a contract that envokes clauses like the more you fight in a year the higher amount you get on fights the following year.
by AintNoSunshine on Jun 24, 2010 9:59 PM EDT up reply actions
lol i understand that
Just don’t think Ace should ever be under 100k/100k. That’s all. Minimum. Ya he has some losses recently. But I hear Chuck does too.
