Coming in a distant second at $30,000 apiece were middleweights Tim Kennedy and Trevor Prangley. The only other fighter to exceed the 10k mark was former EliteXC Lightweight Champion KJ Noons ($25,000) in his split decision win over Conor Heun ($4,000).

wow
where is SF coming up with this money? I love how guys complain about the UFC all the time, but when’s the last time you saw more than half a card make under 5k? I’ll tell you when…never, I haven’t seen anyone (that I can remember) make less than 8k, never mind half the card, including a co main event guy
dream champion Marius Zaramoskis: $5,000
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08
I'm going to start being the BE or KidNate of commenters, I'm just going to copy and paste your comments and say "I agree & Dana White sucks!"

not zaromskis real payday
How many times we gotta go over this? The Dream cats get paid a bit over here, then get their regular $$ when they get back. Its a tax avoiding thing, cause they’re taxed higher in the USA. Check the any SF payout with a Dream fighter on it. They don’t break 5k.

This was a small event...
I may be wrong but I don’t remember Babalu ever making $100,000 in the UFC. Even when he fought Liddell for the title. I know Lawler never made that much in the UFC.
it's weird
considering Matt Hughes said how bad and unprofessional SF treated Robbie in his last fight
yep but
he meant that like how they treated him as a fighter. Because after his fight he waited like an hour(not to sure about the time) but lawler waited awhile before they even came to check up on him an give him medical care. But money wise he seems to be doing pretty good.

Zaramoskis only get $5000, sucks for him.
I love when they have these salary threads for UFC events and everybody bashes. Looks at what these guys are getting.
I'm always right, even when I'm wrong.
so if i am understanding this correctly....
if you have previously fought in the ufc, you will get paid! but if you are just the dream champion, you get less than the standard 8k for tuf fighters. i hope to god these guys were compensated more than this via locker room check. a couple thousand is barely enough to pay for your training camp, not to mention rent, gas, food, car payment, phone etc.
never have any regrets, because at the time, thats all you wanted to do
i hope to god you guys educate yourselves
Zaromskis didn’t only make 5k. Its a tax thing. Less tax in Japan. Gets compensated when he’s back. They have to report some sort of #. See my post above.
Kev,
Matt hughes is THEE kiss ass of Dana and the UFC. His word is more bias against SF as mine is bias for SF. Did you catch him on Inside MMA last week? The guy is really something else. Never, ever liked that smug, cocky, smart ass.

Its funny they use the 100 dollar bills pic for UFC and 1 dollar bills for SF
Sic Vis Pacem, Para Bellum
I promise you this...
Strikforce WILL go out of business.. They are putting up ridiculous amount of money for big name fighters ie: Fedor, Hendo. SF is trying to stay afloat off of a couple big names and paying them all the money in the world.. That only works for so long. Why do you think the UFC does so well? Yeah they have some huge names; but really in my opinion one of the reasons the UFC is the biggest orginization in MMA, is because they ALWAYS have exciting fighters, and exciting fights (for the most part). You cant expect big numbers if people want to tune in to watch 1 exciting specific fighter, and 1 alone. You need to have moderation with out. I love the UFC cards, from the pre-lims up to the main fight. They are all usually very fun to watch. Zuffa does a good job lining up the right fighters with each other, from the bottom up. So enless SF gets some giant investors and through out crazy contracts to win more big names over… i see them being a 1 hit wonder.. Just my opinion…
Babalu pays off the payroll. Cyborg made nothing for a rounded fighter.

Capnjbrown,
Your promise means nothing to anybody.
Edwardo Cruz,
Cyborgs payday shouldn’t be judged after the fight, like you’re seeing it. If he had lost to Zaromskis as assumed by most, 10k wouldn’t have been debated by anyone. They agree to terms before the fight. Clearly he will get more behind closed doors, or for his next fight/contract. He also definitely made an impression on Coker. He will be compensated accordingly.
