nah, Penn held his belt for a while and the decision was kinda iffy. very close fight.

I do think B.J. was off that night, something was def wrong about him. But even so I think he got beat and it wasn’t close IMO!

If BJ comes in prepared its his fight. if he isn’t motivated, which could easily be the case, Frankie has the talent to pull off 2 straight upsets. Right now BJ is still ranked #1 in my opinion, but not if he loses this.

Props to Frankie but he’s pretty much revealed his cards. He got (and deserved) his win. But BJ’ll turn it up for this fight. It’s gonna be hard for Frankie to come up with a new strategy I think. I’d love if he did pull off the upset again cause I want KenFlo to get his shot and win. And I don’t see that happening if he’s to fight BJ again

I never understood that. I would never pick a guy just bc he’s from NY. I truly see everyone as equal whether you’re American, Canadian, Black, White, Male or Female. I always root for the person I like better. Maybe that’s just me though bc it seems that way.

IF I’m impartial to the two fighters, I choose to root for the Canadian. Now if its someone like Spider Vs Cote, I still cheered for Spider, so only when its a toss up to me, on who I ‘like’, I’ll root for the Canadian over ‘the loser’.

me too man…idk i called bj to win the last fight and i was wrong and being wrong in the sherk fight and now the first fight i told myself ill never go against frankie again…where in jersey are you from?before frankie move to ricardo almeidas gym i use to train with him at rhino fight team in the brick/toms river area. he was with us till i believe his 3rd fight in the ufc. dont remember exactly which one it was
I don’t see Edgar getting away with the same tactics he did to Bj @112
.. I could see Bj to be more aggressive, faster and either submit him or potentially catch him with a K.O.. Nevertheless, its going to be a good fight. Edgar is damn fast tho

BJ beat Frankie the first time with 75% effort output. Frankie will not only get outstruck again in this fight, but will be out grappled as well.

Even if Frankie beat BJ again by UD or SD, hes still not going to be the “best” in anyone’s book. He needs to start finishing fights, otherwise he is doomed to the same fate as Rashad.

Why does BJ get a title shot right away?? Why shouldn’t he have to fight 1 or 2 fights before getting a chance to win the title back? That’s bullshit. What about a rematch with Florian? There’s no consistency within the UFC. I.e.- how many fights did Georges fight before he earned another title fight? 2, 3? At least 2….
That is because BJ is the best LW in history and alot of people think BJ won the fight.
