Tickets for UFC 118: "Edgar vs. Penn 2," which is slated for the TD Garden in Boston, Mass., on Aug. 28, will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 25, at 10 a.m. ET.
UFC Fight Club members and UFC Newsletter subscribers, naturally, will be able to scoop up tickets prior to them being available for public consumption.
UFC 118 will feature a rematch for the lightweight title between B.J. Penn and division champion Frankie Edgar in the main event of the evening. Former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Randy Couture will introduce professional boxing champion James Toney to the Octagon in the co-featured fight of the night.
Another exciting 155-pound showdown between Kenny Florian and Gray Maynard has also been made official.

Penn won the first fight imo
but it depends on if Penn is slipping? Certain fighters have different ages where they just start to go down hill in physical and mental skills, it looked liked Penn peaked with the Kenny and Sherk fights. A prime Penn walks threw Frankie, great fight though. Does anybody know if this is on the same card as Anderson?

Pretty well Brazil vs USA card that one. Its entirely Brazil vs USA aside from Almeida vs Hughes which is of course American vs American. But no other nationalities on the card. They really should capitalize on that from a marketing point of view I think.

They really need to capitalize on the whole USA vs Brazil aspect of it. I’m not looking it up, and one fights slipping my mind, but main card reads like this if I remember correctly:
Andy (Brazil) vs Sonnen (USA, I think… Lol)
JDS (Brazil) vs Nelson (USA)
Alves (Brazil) vs Fitch (USA)
Hughes (USA) vs Almeida (USA)
I know the other one is Brazil/USA as well, its just slipping my mind, but you get the point. Capitalize Zuffa!

Who suspended them? SF can't suspend a UFC fighter and the commission can't suspend a fighter for a fight in another district.

Remember when Josh Barnett and Diaz got suspended, the commissions where they got suspended said something like (im paraphrasing) that if they fight in another state, there suspension would be extended and even may prohibit them from fighting again in that state. the commissions have to work together!

The commissions don't have to work together. There is no rule saying they have to.
Most of them would, but there is no ruling body to enforce it between commissions. Funny you bring up Josh Barnett, he was suspended for 1 year after failing both tests for Affliction almost a year ago, he has since fought for Dream and has another fight booked. Both of these fights are booked inside his one year suspension.

I actually saw it on the hockey blog I go to.
The editor traced the IP address to the same computer and then blocked the IP address.
It was actually about a 15 entry conversation that slowly built a point. It was F’d up after learning that it was one person. You could see how how each point led to the conclusion.

I really wish I had an explanation, but I posed this exact question before Wednesdays card. All I could think of was they were having a hard time marketing Fedor, and felt maybe an impressive few fights Weds while sliding in constant Fedor praises/ads would help for ppl to tune in for more 10 days later? Sorry I’m usually so helpful and full of wisdom guys ;)

they just need to use their heads...they seem to be trying to keep up with the UFC and can't cause of their thin roster
