'Babalu' Sobral calls out Dan Henderson after 'Los Angeles' win over Robbie Lawler

"I won't never punch and try to hurt my friends, but I would like to ask for a fight, and all the respect that I have, in the beginning of my career I fought Dan Henderson in Japan and lost to him. I don't want to disrespect, but I would like to fight him. It's going to be 11 years since I fought him. It's a long time, and please, it would be an honor to fight him again, to have the chance to fight Dan Henderson."

Former UFC light heavyweight Renato Sobral sets his sights on another Zuffa exile for a potential rematch with Dan Henderson, who narrowly beat the Brazilian under the RINGS banner way back in February 2000. "Babalu" outstruck "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler at the June 16 "Los Angeles" event but would rather not fight current friend and division champion "King Mo" despite taking a step up in the 205-pound rankings. Hendo is coming off a flat performance against Jake Shields and has not yet been paired up for his sophomore appearance in Strikeforce. Anyone want to see these two longtime veterans hook 'em up for another go-round this fall?

I’m seriously not planning a cocky, asshole comeback. I am interested in trying to understand. Perhaps there’s a story you would be able to share if you don’t mind. I can enjoy SF fights with the sound off once the commentating gets on my nerves. Pat was a refreshing break from Frank, but really just slightly better so the volume was down again. But, really, the fights did nothing for me last night. They were all…ok at best. Maybe it was just me. (shrugs)

I personally don’t know how anyone could not have enjoyed Noons/Huen greatly. It was very good IMO. Also found the Zaromskis fight super entertaining as well. Just wish it could’ve went longer, cause I was on the edge of my seat. Props to Cyborg for pullin the upset, I still love you Marius :(

The Noons/Huen fight was good cause BOTH had ring rust

Neither of them impressed me. Plus I gave the fight to Huen. Although the decision didn’t upset me, I just don’t like Noons either so that may have something to do with it. The Prangley fight was an utter disappointment. A friend asked me about the fights and I told him there were only 3 fights cause in all honestly, I couldn’t for the life of me remember that 4th fight. I didn’t like the MZ fight even though I had really high expectations for it. I think I’m disappointed with MZ all-around. The myth was totally debunked. The Whitemare was totally out classed and Cyborg isn’t exactly an A lister. Yet Cyborg looked to be putting on a clinic in there. Blah. I actually liked the Main event but really, it was only OK imo.

I don’t know Daniel, maybe I’m just judging SF as a whole now because I’ve been very let down by their past events. The lack of crowd participation and totally fucked up commentating have taken it out of me I guess lol. I seem to be in the minority so I’ll go back and watch the fights again tonight and hopefully I can change my view. I concede I’m probably wrong this time around.

Wow, that's pretty bad if you gave it to connor.

Connor’s only round was the first. The rest was just like BJ -Edgar where Connor was throwing sometimes hitting but missing a lot while KJ jabbed him to death and was landing cleaner and way harder shots. His head movement avoided nearly all the punches. I actually came close to giving the first rd to KJ because that knockdown evened it up.
