That's when he thought Sheilds was still gonna be with SF.

Now that it looks like Jake is going over to the enemy, Frank has to discredit him. But actually he’s right, regardless of skill level, SF can’t afford boring fighters. With their roster being as limited as it is, they can’t afford one of their headlining champs to be a snoozer. The UFC can because they can balance out the card with other great fights. For the UFC, finding credible contenders for GSP is more important than making sure every fight is exciting. SF doesn’t have that luxury. Sheilds switching is good for everybody.

I don’t get why these fighters actually get their teeth fixed knowing they are going to fight again. It’s like Tito, I am pretty sure he has veneers. Frank is an ok commentator. He would do a lot better without those braces in his mouth.
