DISAPPOINTING!!!
What is up with Strikeforce? They advertise 8 fights on the Nokia Live card, and only showing 6 fights on their website!!!!!!!! Did I pay $100 per seat, and drive 90 minutes to L.A. just to see 6 fights??? Had 6 fights be listed from the get go, I wouldn’t have thought about buying seats.
Come on Strikeforce…….load up the card!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah kind of sucks...was hoping for 2 more undercard fights, and even asked them why it listed 16 fighters instead of 12...
should be a good 6 fights though…and with the UFC coming to san diego…does it really matter? 2 events in 90 days? yes please
Did I pay $100 per seat, and drive 90 minutes to L.A. just to see 6 fights???
Hells yes you did. I almost flew out to watch this and visit family. Good thing they are out of town this week.

$100 and a 90 min drive is a fuckin gift to see this card!
I wish I was fortunate enough to be that close.

on the contrary
Its actually quite irresponsible. But if its hot and sunny out (as I assume it is in San Diego), a straight highway and some sun and a few cold ones on the drive up, with friends, is a perfect afternoon to me. I’m not saying get plastered, just take the edge off. Only live once mang!

lmao, I'm glad I came in here
Worbs busting a nut over this card, only in strikeforce does a guy go from challengers series to co main event. Yes the card is good, but not as good as Worby would make it sound.
and then Frost saying how responsible drinking and driving is (sarcastically). Now if you’ve never done it, fine, but come on man, we’ve all done it right? When I used to drink years ago, I could time how long someplace would take me to drive by estimating how many beers I needed for the ride.
isnt there 7 fights listed above and the lashley got injured which would make 8?

man you guys expect a lot!
Everyone talks about how sh*tty they are, and how they have no roster, now they put on a Wednesday night fight card with some great matches, and they have Fedor V Werdum 10 days later, and you guys are b*tching?! What can Strikeforce do at this point to please you guys? Lol, honestly!

no doubt
it might only be seven fights, but those are some great match-ups, plus its on a wednesday so you dont have to chose between 2 different shows.
never have any regrets, because at the time, thats all you wanted to do

it's a good card Worbs
but it’s not like it’s free, so a card on a wed. night has no bearing on it. The main guy complaining is going and is disappointed, thats all. Listen, I know ur a huge SF supporter, and I 100% respect that. I also enjoy SF, but I take it for what it’s worth.
I’ve always been a Babalu fan, but I’ll break it down for you.
Main event: 2 guys that couldn’t make it in the UFC.
Co main event (never understood why every fight before main event has to be referred to as such, but whatever): I like Cyborg, but lets face it, his last fight was a challengers series event and Zarmcis (I don’t care Roberto) is coming off a dominant loss.
Kennedy/Prangly: Frank Shamrock says possible fight of the night.
KJ NOONs: zzzzzzz he’s a douche, this card will be worth it if he loses.
other two fights, who knows.
some of you mentioned Lashly got hurt, who cares, wasn’t like he was fighting anyone remotely good, he turns down fights against anyone who has any skills.
speaking of Frank Shamrock, what a dumb fuck for saying he hope Shields goes to the UFC. Even if he’s saying how he really feels, a real company guy (which he needs to be) would never say such a thing! Jake not only has dominated in two weight classes, but he’s ur champion and one of the top WW’s/MW’s in the world. Just because Frank can’t beat anyone now doesn’t mean he can’t help the company that feeds he and his family. total dick move!
here come's mr. rainonparade right on time
Every time.
And it is free if you have the channel. Its SuperChannel on Demand here. Big deal. Pay the 15 a month they give you much more then one card a month. Lots of good sh*t on there. You consider Spike cards free right? If you didn’t have cable they wouldn’t be? Pay the cost to be the boss the saying goes. Free in my books.

of course it's free
even if it weren’t, I’d pay for it, thats just how I roll Worbs. Spike or VS. is more free, but I get ur point. My point is that SF is putting on too many events. This is coming from a guy who can’t get enough MMA. If I were them, I’d do an event every 6 weeks or every other month, you then can stack the cards (as much as SF can stack a card) and you then have the opportunity to sign “bigger” talent because you’re putting on shows that are some what competitive to the UFC. Paying Fedor 2 million a fight is another example of bad business. I’ll admit, SF rarely seems to make bad business decisions, but to sign a guy, even if he may go down as the best fighter ever, and will definitely be the best HW ever, for 2 million a fight, who doesn’t hype a fight and is a proven non draw is kinda ridiculous to me!
you shut your mouth when you're talking about Fedor

Agreed
I don’t see why everyone bashes on SF they have really good fights. They put out great fights on every main card. Like child said it’s on Wed night. It’s better than nothing. SF has a event every month just about and sometimes two events a month. I love it!!! It’s better than waiting a month or almost two for a UFC event. And the great thing about SF is that it is free!!!
almost 2?
I think the UFC has almost 2 events a month (on average) no? I think strikeforce (this is just my opinion) should put on an event every 6 weeks or so, just imagine how stacked they could be. It’s not like they are selling events out. I’m actually thinking of going to watch Fedor fight in 10 days, but going the day of the event and seeing if they are giving out 1/2 priced tix. Ive heard they do this in order to recoup some money and give the TV audience a sense of a sellout. any truth to this?
Hope you have fun kev. I think SF is pretty stacked with decent fighters and they do put out great matchups. The UFC does put on two a month maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I am not including UFN. Btw Kev, you have been to a UFC event right? Do they sell food there? Sorry for the dumb question was just curious.
it's like a normal sporting event bro
we had a suite, so our food was a lot better than the 8 dollar hot dogs, but yeah, it’s like any other concert or sporting event. Oh ok, i count fight nights etc considering that is about the level of SF events. I’m not 100% sure if I’m gonna go yet, plane tix are more than double this year and my son is going to MA for a month. usually 99 each way, this year it’s almost 300 each way, and my wife wants to go to lake tahoe for our anniversary, thats why I’m asking if they still do the tix for next to nothing day of event.
Awesome
My wife and I were going to go to UFC 107 in Memphis but we found out she was pregnant and plus that was a pretty bad crowd there from what I saw on tv. I hope you get to go. How many peopl get to say they have seen Fedor fight? Don’t forget Kev “happy wife, happy life”.
thats what I said
Fedor has fought in the states 3 times, and I have opportunity to see him. She really wants me to go to weigh in again, but last time when I sat front row and roamed around with the fighters, I got lucky, now lots of people go and I don’t care for crowds too much. We’ll see, plane tix have nearly tripled for my son from the last few yrs, so we’ll see
No food allowed. Also, you can't drink liquids and you need to ride an exercise bike in a rubber suit for the entire event!
I AM SOMETIMES BIASED - Get over it!!!!!!!
ya, little odd, as they listed the clifford fight at 160
Which I assume means its a catchweight on short notice, so should the same not apply for KJ/Huen? Oh well. Wonder if Renato plans on bulking up much from coming in lower then expected?
