UFC 115: Ben Rothwell promises 'Big' improvements after June 12 win over Gilbert Yvel
"For me the fight [against Gilbert Yvel] is bittersweet. In one aspect, I got my first 'W' in the UFC and it was the kind of fight that I really had to dig deep. I had a feeling that Gilbert was going to train hard for this fight, he was extremely tough and took a lot of elbows. It's not a victory for me in a sense. I got some lumps on my head and the hardest part for me is I got the feeling that maybe Dana and the fans weren't so happy with the fight. I didn't finish the fight and that to me is unacceptable. I go out to finish my fights and I had to fight smart because he's a dangerous guy. This is the kind of fight that I made a vow that I will go home and continue my training immediately and the next time I'm back you're going to see an improved Ben."
UFC heavyweight sophomore Ben Rothwell talks to reporters during the UFC 115 post-fight press conference regarding his unanimous decision win over Gilbert Yvel last Saturday night (June 12) in Vancouver. "Big" Ben had a difficult time sealing the deal against the never-say-die Dutchman and survived a "Hurricane" in the second round to go home a winner. Still, his performance left the crowd a bit restless and wants to make sure Dana and the fans know he's coming back stronger than ever. With a Croatian victory on the same night, will we finally see Rothwell throw hands with "Cro Cop?"

You are joking right?
If you are i’m sorry for ruining your joke. You can’t stop a fight when the other guy is not beaten. I pulled through and got the win, how can you argue that it should’ve been stopped?
i got rothwell with lay and pray vs duffee. duffee's weakness: chubby guys. lol
then roy nelson can have his rematch with rothwell when he losses to jds.

Duffee is too much of a step backwards
I say Ben/Kongo, and someone had a good idea in Yvel/Berry
Actually I agree, Duffee is pretty much the lowest the UFC has to offer next to Yvel
Since Ben won, he deserves at least one level above. Give him CroCop and let him end Mirkos career if he even still wants to fight
Bullets dodge Fedor.
Duffee is definitely a step backwards
Dude is 1-1 and green as hell.

No Joke!
What has Duffee done to face Ben? Rothwell was the IFL champ at one time. Duffee has done nothing yet!
prolly not
Duffee lose was a fluke. Big Ben wouldn’t make out of the first round with Duffee. Being champion of the IFL is like being valedictorian of your kindergarten class!
sure it was a fluke, whatever makes you sleep at night
duffee the overblown sack of nothing will be cut in 2 more fights. one lucky punch against Tim, then a lifetime of losing in minor leagues
Bullets dodge Fedor.
there are no flukes in fighting
there are winners, losers, and occasionally some bad decisions. there is no such thing as a lucky punch (or a lucky submission). history will remember that duffee lost and russow won with no asterisk saying that it was a fluke
never have any regrets, because at the time, thats all you wanted to do
That film is called AWOL where I'm from...
Actually seen it called Lionheart also..

Ya different regions have different names
I am from Europe originally and its called Lionheart there.
Bullets dodge Fedor.
The joke sucked the first time.

It was funny because it is a duck and he is a duck. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Jesse's boy?
Jesse, weren’t you talking about everyone under estimating Ben?
Sorry – this guy doesn’t really have anything. See when he fought Big Country and won a BS decision in the IFL.
Ben Rothwell.............phhhhhhhhhhh!
He will never factor in, he is just a big dude that can take a shot and will get destroyed by any legitimate HW.
Duffee is not a legitimate heavyweight though, so too bad ur argument still doesn't fly
just a big piece of meat
Bullets dodge Fedor.
And you like brock :) Talk about meathead.
Duffee is like what? 22? He can become a great heavyweight with his athletic ability.
Two BAD jokes in one thres...your mama would be proud.

how fuckin boring his performance was. lay n pray at his finest. this dude is still the bum of the heavyweight division. (ifl champion means shit)

This fight looked very suspicious to me
I’ve never felt like a fight was being worked until i saw this fight. Why the hell did Rothwell just stand and let Yvel up when he had mount??? Even Goldie and Rogan commented on how weird that was. Seemed like he wanted it to go to a decision.
