UFC Fight Night 22: Cole Miller vs Ross Pearson possible for Sept. 15
There's a fantastic lightweight battle brewing between up-and-coming 155-pound prospects Cole Miller (16-4) and Ross Pearson (11-3), currently under consideration for the UFC Fight Night 22 card on September 15 in Texas.
MMAmania.com can confirm the two sides have been approached after Ariel Helwani brought word of the proposed match-up back on May 29.
Miller was hoping to build off his "Submission of the Night" win over Dan Lauzon back at UFC 108: "Evans vs. Silva" last January; however, an undisclosed injury forced "Magrinho" to withdraw from his scheduled throwdown with Andre Winner at UFC Fight Night 21 in March.
The former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) star is 5-2 since making his promotion debut in June 2007 and holds victories over Leonard Garcia, Jorge Gurgel and Junie Browning.
While Miller wasn't able to win his division on TUF, Pearson indeed proved he was "The Real Deal" by not only taking home the trophy from the Spike TV reality series, but also by staying undefeated since that time with dominating wins over Aaron Riley and Denis Siver.
The stocky Brit could make a case for his place among the lightweight title contenders with a finish over the crafty Miller.
UFC Fight Night 22 is expected to feature a headlining bout between middleweights Alan "The Talent" Belcher and Demian Maia. Staunch lightweights Jim Miller and Gleison Tibau are also in talks to hook 'em up.
Stay tuned to MMAmania.com for more updates on this still-developing fight card.

Miller is a good test JamPark
He’s faced a wrestler, striker and now a BJJ guy since he won TUF so it’s all good experience for him.
If he gets past Miller then he needs a good test. Like to see him fight Huggy Bear
