literally in the process of getting over this EXACT injury…shattered my tibia, broke my fibula, dislocated my ankle, AND sprained my foot in a rugby game about a month ago…in case youre wondering if its fun or not, it isnt

i just play club for my college
nothin major…to be honest im not that good lol but im pretty big and im not in the best shape but im pretty strong…it was actually my first game when i got hurt so i didnt set the bar too high
Wow, that sucks. Getting hurt like that in your first game can kind of sour you on the whole sport. Here’s to a successful recovery.

got great news from the doctor a couple days ago and once my leg is fully recovered i plan to be back on the pitch

Damn I`ve had an injury very similar, bad tibial plateau fracture along with some other damage. Those types of injuries are pain like you would never imagine till it happens. Nothing like trying to stand and having your leg just give.

I have destroyed both my knees. The Lucky 3 in my left and 2 ligs and Patella tendon in right knee. I have become unable to watch that stuff. That was very serious. Get well soon Jason.

it broke during the kick and not the takedown?

yep just watch his left leg the entire time
its when he gets spun around on the takedown, his leg doesn’t spin with his body

I can’t watch these breaks either. What exactly happened? The worst one I ever saw was the game with man utd against Coventry or man city and it was David boost I think?!! Really really bad one, worse than cory hill and that’s saying sumthin

MacDonalds being taken down and his left foot isn’t parallel to his opponent its still facing quite left, it sticks and as the weight of the two comes down you can watch it all snap, shin, ankle, etc. He ends up on the bottom pointing at his leg sticking up and yelling, as the shin is clearly broken, and it also looks as if his toe to the left of his big toe is as well.
