If you look at his head, there isn’t any sort of reaction to being hit. His head doesn’t react anything like being struck. There isn’t anything in that video to indicate there was any contact. Daley’s knee doesn’t seem to pause at all from making contact.

The cheap shot isn't cheating.
Cheating is something you do, which is against the rules, to help yourself win. Daley’s cheapshot was personal, nothing to do with “winning”. Greasing, eye-gouging, and faking an illegal blow is cheating.

I swear this is the last time I’m writing this (probably). There was no cut before the knee on his hairline and after the knee there was a purple egg and a cut. Did it appear magically? The knee clearly hit him as much as you don’t want to admit it. Even if it was grazing, it did enough to cause a cut.

He punished him and attempted subs, the only thing Daley did was land a few strikes whe nthe fight was standing. Fact is KOS owned Daley and made him look one dimensional. Getting hit to the ribs and side of the head for three straight rounds and the reaction from Daley after showed a man humilitated by a superior MMA fighter.

Daley didn’t have a mark on him. Both men disgraced themselves. Koscheck with the most boring fight of his career and his injury fake.(it didn’t hit him, if you have working eyes and reasonable perspective then you can see that) and Daley with the cheap shot after the bell, and arguably the attempted knee. Personally I’m not too concerned about the attempted knee, anybody that watches enough fights knows that stuff like that happens quite often, up kicks when people are on a knee, knees when people are on their way up, it’s not a rare occurance. you’re sat in your armchair disecting everything but these guys are in fights, reacting in split second windows of opportunity, not always having the time to think, just acting. I’m not saying it was accidental, but it wasn’t intentional in the same way that the cheap shot afterwards was, nor Kos’s theatrics. Both guys knew exactly what they were doing in those instances and IMO acted as poorly as each other.

I was looking forward to seeing Daley compete more, but dumbass had to cheap-shot Kos. DW made the right move for the sport. I think Kos should get fined for faking the illegal knee, but that wont happen. Kos did the same thing against AJ. Dana should start punishing guys for faking. In MMA, how can you expect a ref to do his job when he has to worry about guys fakin’ eye pokes and low blows. Most guys dont fake blows (unless your Koscheck), and the opponent usually apologizes (unless your Trigg), but if you dont get punished for faking, more guys are gonna do its gonna make the refs job tougher. Imagine a guy losing a title-fight for an illegal blow that didnt happen. Or a guy gettin’ hit in the sack and the ref not stoppin’ it cuz he thought he may be fakin it.

if the ref doesnt call the suppoosed foul and you refuse to fight while your faking it the ref can stop the fight as a TKO or for example while your busy acting like you got one in the stones it’s entirely possible for your opponent to go in for the kill and end the fight. matt hughes almost got tapped by frank trigg cause he stopped fighting over a foul that went uncalled and it almost cost him his title. the bottom line is you can try and “draw the foul” all you want but you gotta keep fighting until the ref stops the action.

Theres no excuse for what Daley did he shouldn’t have thrown the knee and he shouldn’t have thrown the sucker punch after the bell. I’m sure there are some honorable Brits out there that don’t act likes tits. Bisping, Hardy and Daley aren’t the best embassadors for British MMA lets hope Ross Pearson doesn’t go down that route.
