UFC 118: Joe Lauzon vs Terry Etim in the works for Aug. 28 in Boston
There's a fantastic lightweight match-up brewing between 155-pound up-and-comers Joe Lauzon (18-5) and Terry Etim (14-3), currently planned for UFC 118 on August 28 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Sources from inside one of the fight camps alerted MMAmania.com to the pending bout earlier today.
Lauzon came up empty against the resurgent Sam Stout at UFC 108: "Evans vs. Silva" back on January 8. It was only the second loss for the former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 contestant since his stunning debut under the Zuffa banner against Jens Pulver way back in September 2006.
"J-Lau" has been training with BJ Penn in Hawaii and will need to be at 100-percent to overcome the hard-hitting Etim.
The Brit had quietly assembled a four-fight winning streak starting with a unanimous decision victory over Sam Stout at UFC 89: "Bisping vs. Leben;" however, Rafael dos Anjos put an end to his winning ways with a textbook armbar submission at last month's UFC 112: "Invincible" pay-per-view in Abu Dhabi.
He'll need to concentrate on submission defense for a second straight bout if he hopes to deny Lauzon the win.
UFC 118 is expected to feature a lightweight bout between current 155-pound contenders Kenny "KenFlo" Florian and Gray "The Bully" Maynard as they try to stake their claim to the winner of a possible championship rematch between Frankie "The Answer" Edgar and BJ "The Prodigy" Penn, also expected on the Aug. 28 card.
Stay tuned to MMAmania.com for more updates to the UFC's debut in Boston as they become available.

This is another tough fight for Joe,
being its only his 2nd on back from surgery…
I’ll still take Joe by UD.

Damn!
Joe’s one of my favourite fighters and I really like my fellow Brit Etim…. I’d rather see Joe win and i think he will take it too!!
Great match making though
War Joe
One of my favorites also, BTW he is back form knee surgury not back. It was his ACL I think.
I like both of these guys but I think if it hits the ground Etim is in trouble.
Nice to see these two guys on the main card , good fight written all over it

I don't know who to take in this one
This is a tough scrap to call; I’ll just have to sit back and enjoy, I really can’t pick a winner here.
