UFC 114 weigh in results LIVE from Las Vegas for 'Rampage vs Evans'

The official weigh-in event for UFC 114: "Rampage vs Evans" went down today (May 28) as part of the 2010 UFC Fan Expo from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Despite the animosity between the event's major players, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and "Suga" Rashad Evans, the weigh ins were a rather tepid affair with no real fireworks.
There were a few towels, a rock-the-boat staredown and of course Arianny Celeste and her two greatest assets. If you're keeping score at home, Evans was booed mightily while Jackson got a hero's welcome.

I was gutted when Wand had to pull out for 105, him beating up Bisping would have been amazing to see live. Lucky Aussies.

alkl this talk about Rashad being in amazingt shape, and he was the one having a hard time making weight yesterday!
Suga had an appearence booked on Jim Rome show, but Dana had to step in form him cause Shad was having a hard time during the weight cut!

yea, in this case it's all the buildup from tuf.
that is making ppl believe rashad’s actually got a shot. his best chance to win in my honest opinion is to land a flush punch or kick to jackson’s head/jaw and knock him out. what are the odds of that happening? i don’t know but that’s his chance of winning.

Were if Page`s cardio is sub par again like against Jardine and Evans improved from Silva he may hope to pull of the decision win. Shad has explosion in his legs and if Page gets tired shad will have a decent cahnce at bring down page and racking up the points. But if Page comes in shap I don`t see Rashad having much of a chance I jsut hope he doesn`t swing for the fences in the first round instead take his time to unleash. If Evans brings out the leg kicks I would love to see PAge get old school and bring back his takedown slams and GnP.

I can’t wait for this to jump off…I am so hoping Rampage gets the one punch first round KO and shuts Rashad up…..Hopefully Sugar ends up sweet and low….

I think Rampage is on a mission here...
I will be really suprised if Rashad dominates any aspect of this fight. Rampage naturally has great takedown defense and is much more powerful than Rashad. He has some of the best defensive wrestling in the game. He has spent very little time on his back and I can’t remember the last or if anyone has ever taken him down at will, besides Sakuraba, and Sakuraba actually took a beating (in slams, knees from Quinton while in side mount), as well as having a hard time submitting Rampage. Rashad does not have the ju-jitsu prowess of Sakuraba, and will not have the success that Sakuraba had on the ground. Outside of Rampage being out of the cage for so long(which I still think plays very little factor for a fighter like Rampage), I don’t see how Rashad wins this fight.
i don’t even see why anyone would want to see Rashad win this fight, even his fans. As an mma fans first and foremost, prospect of a rematch between Rampage and Shogun is so much more exciting of an idea than Rashad vs. Shogun. I would find it hard to believe anyone who thinks Rashad vs. Shogun would be anywhere near as exciting as Rampage/Shogun.

The King Mo video calmed some of my fears but if Rashad struggled with the cut then this is a bad sign
I was relying on him having the cardio and speed advantage in this fight, if he’s had trouble with the cut then I’ve got to question his energy levels. I have this awful feeling that he’s going to gas in which case it’s Rampage’s fight, hopefully I’m completely wrong and Rashad has just added some muscle so that he can cope with Rampage’s power and make it easier to take him down.

I think Rashad is trying to get an advantage and even though one pound over it's one pound less to gain back for fight night
And Rashad is taking any advantages he can, the best MMA fighter without a doubt in my mind is Page but the one thing that worries me is his cardio that can cost him a fight against any top ten LHW and almost did against Jardine. PAge’s wrestling is excellent and as good as Rashads for sure, his striking is better, and he has the power, Rashad has the speed and if he’s going to win he is going to need to stay alive and hope his endurance is much greater than PAges. As well Page needs to protect his legs and I hopw if Rashad brings the leg kicks PAge takes him down and gets back to his old roots and gives us some GnP.
The questions is Page going to be in shape and will he be a one dimensional fighter against Rashad if so Rashad has a good shot but if not Rashad is going to get destroyed.

Most of the fighters came in 1 lb heavy. Could be the scale is off a little. Rampage will tire because he was huge before he started training.
I got Rashad by a nipple tweek decision. Miller and Lauzon will be the upsets. Duffy by KO of course. Nog by sub. Diego should resume his winning ways. Sadollah by TKO.
