I have always like Rampage but I think he has gotten greedy. He isn’t going to have to worry about money for himself or his kids for the rest of his life so why isn’t that good enough? Because a douche like Mayweather is making over $23 mil a fight for putting on a boring show? I think too much money ruins athletes.
I didn't watch the video
but how do you figure he and his kids are set? I don’t think he’s a financial genius, and he doesn’t make that much money to be able to make a statement like his kids are set too. If I were to take an honest guess, I’d put his net worth at maybe 5 or 6 million, and contrary to poular belief, it’s not a great deal of money! Yes it’s more than you and me have, but you got to look a lifestyles, wants/needs and all the other factors that go into every day life. Not to mention that once he retires, what is he qualified to do?
with 5-6 million him and his kids are set!
if he lives normal. Expensive taste and driving 180 grand cars wont make that money last.
He needs to save his money, open a gym when he retires, and live life beautifully!

lmao ok
ur being serious to so cal. for me and you, MAYBE, but you’ve seen his cars, and the fact that maybe a quarter of that is liquid (and thats being nice), he’s not set. Once he stops fighting and can’t get anymore shitty roles, where is the income going to come from? open a gym based on what? He notoriously hates to train, what I mean by that is, where most MMAtists are in the gym 45 weeks a year or so, Rampage only trains when he has an upcoming fight, thats why he’s so inconsistent. So where most can open a gym on name, he’s not known as a great BJJ/boxing/etc practitioner and has shitty work ethic, so open a gym based on whart?
of course ive seen how his cars and how he lives now
hell i SAID that! “180 grand cars wont make that money last”
did you miss the “live normal” “save money” ?
When his fighting career is over he will have made enough for him and his kids to be set IF IF IF IF IF IF he brings down his living standard to fit in with his money.
His name ALONE is enough to open and have a successful gym! Do you think when you go into one of the many of gracie gyms your actually going to train with a gracie? Should you expect to learn your worth ethic or jitz from Page himself? come on!
He could put his NAME on any gym, bring in trainers, and have a nice retirement life.
will he? doubt it

I caught the IF
but you aren’t gonna change him, thats my point. And I 100% know how the gyms work, my point is a Gracie puts their name on a gym, it means something, they are known for something. Same as if say Floyd Mayweather opened a gym, you know what you’re gonna get. Problem is, what will you get at a Rampage gym? You don’t know. My guess is someone could open a gym, put his name on it and advertise it as Rampage will be there say (totally hypothetical) 12 times a year or twice a month. But if thats the case, the real owner would maybe cut him in 10-20% based on his name. I definitely understand what you’re saying, I just don’t think he’s set, more likely he will end up broke! Now a guy like Matt Hughes or even Tito, different story!
think we both get each other's points
I guess i was going based off the process of rampage COULD do not what he probably WILL do.
Now a guy like Matt Hughes or even Tito, different story!
i agree with that

Rampage rips the UFC for not taking care of its top fighters $ (ufc sells 10% of company for 100 mill and dont hook up any of its top fighters)
says he wants Rematch with shogun because he was hurt when they fought in pride. And after he takes the belt from shogun he wants a rematch with forrest because he claims he beat forrest in there fight. And if that plays out like that and he wins all 3 fights he would retire.
Open up the Shit Gates and where the Hell was Marv?
thanks brotha!
If rampage beats Rashad, the ShoGun rematch would be EPIC. If he were to win that and finish off forrest, hell ya cant retire on a better note than that!
The UFC has done alot for Rampage tho, he should be gracious.

ufc couldn't hook any fighters up
zuffa needed every penny of that $100 million to help pay off some of the fertitta’s debt. their station casino’s are a joke and are bleeding money daily, and have been doing so for years now. station is on the verge of bankruptcy, they’ve got millions of dollars of dept to numerous money lenders. the only 1 good thing the fertitta’s have goin for them is the ufc. eventually they will have borrowed so much money against it to save their other f*ckups that the ufc will be worth pennies on the dollar. there’s NO money to go around to the men putting the money in the fertitta’s pockets because they need it ALL for themselves
I don't think they are paying casino debt with zuffa money
they are filing bankruptcy for that and the two are entirely different entities. I’m sick of fighters complaining (Herring did too) about what zuffa is worth! Who took/takes all the financial risk when they bought the UFC? Who fails and goes broke if mma hadn’t taken off? I’m sick of the “I deserve this” attitude. You signed a contract, honor it. Ive heard of the UFC hooking guys that deserve it up. Remember the story of Dana paying Shogun his win bonus after first machida fight?! And this guy is complaining after Dana got him outta all that trouble when he was hopped up on red bulls (lmao). If that were any of us, we’d be in jail! Quit ur bitching and fight, thats what u get paid to do!
they tried to sell station casino's to boyd gaming. they are kinda broke too.
they have that echelon place just sitting there 10 stories tall for the last 2 years. even some of the cranes are still there. boyd gaming ran out of money for the 5 billion dollar project. it’s where the old stardust was.

i pity this fool
rampage is such a dummy, “if he had a company that he sold 10% of for $100million he would hook up the top fighters”, yeah ok, newsflash rampage you will never have a company that is worth $1billion because you are a fighter not a businessman, some people can pull off both but rampage is obviously not one of those guys. guarenteed within 2yrs of his full retirement he will be broke and bitching to anyone that’ll listen. keep makin it rain rampage.
he realizes hes an employee, not a share holder right??

apparently not
did rampage sink tens of millions of his own $$$ into the ufc when it was dead in the water like the frettitas did? did he lose $$$ year after year until they finally turned the ufc around? rampage needs to understand that they pay him to fight for them, if he doesnt like it perhaps he should find a better arrangement (good luck) and spare us all the whining.
when he loses to rashad and his a-team movie actually might make some money for hollywood
i have seen many commercials for it so if it makes 100 million (maybe does well)hollywood might call again for a tough guy roll and offer 1 or 2 million for his next movie if the a-team does well. if that happens watch him bitch and complain that he has 5 fights left on his contract. i’ll even bet he would not train for fight after rashad if the ufc does not let him time off to make the movie.
he just comes across as selfish. he would be in prison if dana did not bail him out the last time he went crazy. said he was off his meds? i would be curious what meds he is on?

Rampage is getting knocked out into oblivion he’s going down the same road that guys like AA, Sylvia and Huerta all went down and they all paid the price.
Whenever a fighter starts talking more about money than establishing his legacy as a champion you know he’s done.
It’s a shame too because Rampage could be making huge money but his ego and stupidity will ruin his career. Here’s a little tip to all fighters out there stop listening to your agents, you want to make big money be a dominant champion and stop chasing fools gold.
nah actually Rampage has a ton to back on
he could do a lot with all the money he has. A team will be good and I guarantee you all will watch it, everyone will. Then Rampage will get a bunch of other roles. Maybe villain in marvel or in comedys like Mike Tyson in the hangover. He could buy sports teams. He could do TUF a few mpre times. Rampage could be guests on tv shows and talk shows. he could be on reality shows. He could become an announcer for UFC. He could do whatever the F he wants. Rampage sells like it or not, he puts butts in seats
"Who Wants some pudding pops?, delicious and nutritious!
if you've ever seen rampage as an announcer
you would know he doesnt have a future in that, he’s awful… and he wont be buying any sports teams either, he’s definetly not in that tax bracket. reality tv, small movie roles and cameos will probably be his best options, but i’m not sure any of those career paths will pay enough to keep him out of bankruptcy. and why would he do TUF a few more times? he claims that cost him money to do the show. his best bet would be to get someone to co-author a book about him while he still has name recognition.
lmao
I stopped at buy his own sports team. he’s worth maybe 5 million, you need like 50 liquid to even think about a team!
Anything he does he can make a lot of money in
He could sponsor stuff like energy drinks or fast food and make huge money too. He could do commercials.
"Who Wants some pudding pops?, delicious and nutritious!
Wow...he's taking a lot of shit in this post...
I liked Rampage a lot more in this vid than I had in many of his previous interviews. In fact, when I READ this quote, I didn’t like it. But the tone of the actual video is a lot better than the one I had in my head. He may not be very articulate but it seems his head is on straight again. He looks leaner than he had in the past and I for one am ready to see Rampage whoop some ass.
On being champion - "The best thing that’s come out of me being champ is I got a chance to meet Beyonce, so I’m happy about that. That was my lucky day, 7/7/07." - Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
