Nostradumbass here
Dong Hyun Kim vs. Amir Sadollah (170-pound limit)
Round one: Low kick by Gun. Sadollah answers but Stunny takes him down. Kim looking for an arm-triangle but Amir defends. Jason Von Flue gets props. Sadollah to guard and Kim blasts him in the face with a punch then an elbow. Lots of ground shuffling. Kim gets him pushed to the cage. Sadollah stands and Kim takes his back. Amir defending well and survives the round.
Round two: Sadollah working the kicks but Kim uses an opening to take him right back down. He passes with ease. From side control Kim leaves an opening and Amir escapes and tags him with a knee but Gun goes right back to the takedown after a brief struggle. Kim tries to posture but Sadollah defends from guard. Kim gets crafty and traps Sadollah with his own arm and plugs him a few times in the face. Kim loses the hold but gets full mount and they battle for position until the bell.
Round three: Sadollah needs a finish. He stalks the Korean. Kim grabs a leg and rolls him to the ground with little effort. Kim pushes him to the cage. Sadollah sits up only to get mounted. He's still defending but Kim is relentless in his attack. Quick triangle attempt but Gunny powers out. Sadollah escapes! He stuffs a takedown! But then Kim wrestles him down but lo and behold he's up again! Sadollah is landing shots but he's so gassed they do no damage. Kim ties him up and runs out the clock.
Final result: Dong Hyun Kim def. Amir Sadollah via unanimous decision
Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon (155-pound limit)
Round one: Feeling out process. High kick fade away from Lauzon. Nice combo from Hencho. High kick misses for Lauzon. Lots of bobbing and weaving. They clinch and Escudero takes him to the cage but can't get the takedown so he batters him with knees and punches instead. He goes back to the leg but Lauzon pushes off. Nice low kick by Escudero after he does a weird Westworld robot move. Holy shit Escudero just did the Soda Popinsky foot shuffle on live TV. Back to the dancing. Crowd boos. Low kick by Escudero. Crowd boos the round out.
Round two: Lauzon working the jab. Low kick by Escudero. Hencho charges with punches and locks in a clinch and rails Lauzon with knees and punches. Upgrade survives. Diving takedown from Lauzon gets stuffed. Up against the cage they battle for position. They break and Escudero lands a low kick. Again. More dancing. Crowd boos. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!? Hard low kick by Escudero. Lauzon looks tired. Another Mexican low kick. Escudero checks a punch but it still topples Lauzon who is on his back then hops up. Escudero stalks and charges him into the cage and that's the round.
Round three: Escudero tries to get the crowd to cheer and fails miserably. Bobbing and weaving and Escudero gets one in the jumping beans. He's okay to fight. Low kick finds its mark for Escudero. High kick misses for Lauzon. They seem to be punching from ten feet away which is probably why nothing lands. Escudero pushes him to the cage and smothers him. Back to the center of the cage and Escudero gets flashy with jumping knees and strikes. Lauzon absorbs it. More bad striking and Escudero hits a low kick. Not a good fight to try and sell a pay-per-view. Escudero's wrestling has found its way to the back of a milk carton. Crowd boos mightily. Escudero low kick downgrades Lauzon's yam bag. Action is halted though you wouldn't know the difference in this fight. Escudero loses a point. They resume and fists start flying like crazy. Way to save it for the last ten seconds. Fight over.
Final result: Efrain Escudero def. Dan Lauzon via unanimous decision

weird think is that it's the fight i care the least about on the card for some reason.
But i gotta say that this thing is incredibly stacked. Best card this year so far IMO, Almost all of the undercard can easily be the first or second fight on a main card. Can’t decide who wins for i got hashad for now via lnp.

maybe it’s just me getting spoiled but I don’t find this card remotely exciting. I think rashad rampage and forrest are all criminally overrated and there are no titles on the line.
Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?
I agree **
I agree, this card is not all that stacked. They seem to be really hyping this fight. Maybe because they know they have no TITLE FIGHTS on the card?
Last year we all were spoiled with several stacked events in the UFC. I agree this one is not all that.

The usual trash talk before the fight without a knock-out.
One thing that I don’t like with a UFC fight is if they do too much trash talk but on the real fight, there’s no one being knocked out. I would rather watch GSP than this in my honest opinion. Reactions. http://j.mp/rashad-rampage-fail-or-not

lol yeah
I know one guy who won’t show up in May to a scheduled fight. So who knows…
Lesnar > [Carwin] ---> Lesnar > [Velasquez] ---> Lesnar > [JDS]
Overeem will NOT show up on May 15th! Mark my words. Sig stays til then.
Because free posted that in April

I will Cry...
Maybe not cry but I will be upset. This for me has been one of my most anticipated fights for the last 2 years. I wanted this fight before the show and all the hype. I really think Rampage is the man at 205 when he is motivated.

I'll say the
same thing about rashad that i said about frank mir. Rashads ego is going 2 cost him the fight. The problem with rashad is its a classic case of a wresler who’s got a few ko’s under his belt & know thinks he’s a ko artist. my fear of this fight is that rashad is going 2 try stand & trade punches with page & get ktfo. I know every1 loves 2 knock ppl out but rashad needs 2 accept that he’s a wresler 1st.
Did you not see his last fight?
He went back to using his wrestling a lot more against Thiago and used it very effectively. I don’t think Rashad thinks he’s some sort of KO artist all of a sudden but his hands are a legit threat and he’s got better hand speed than a lot of the guys in the division so why wouldn’t he use it.
"To me, MMA is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography and the dancers hit each other."
thiago didnt really have any td defence
and had somethin wrong with his back apparently so he couldnt defend them so well, if you see though he did get takedowns but what damage did he do really? none whatsoever then got seriously rocked by a totally gassed thiago.
it doesnt bode well for rashad rampage has awesome td defence and better hands and power

RAMPAGE is in Movie making mode*
I can see how Rampage’s head might be a little in the clouds in this fight. He has been off making a movie for sometime now. It could have gotten to his head with all the sudden popularity. This could leave him feeling over confident and could be his demise. He also looked a bit thinned out at weigh-in. I’m giving this to Rashad.
by David Burnett on May 29, 2010 10:20 PM EDT up reply actions
I GET WHAT UR
sayin BB & yes rashad does have improved striking but i still think that page is a better more technical, more powerful striker. And i don’t think rashad is going 2 go n 2 this fight trying 2 wresle. I think their is alot of bad blood between him & page & i think rashad is going 2 go n & try 2 knock page out. And if that happens he going 2 play right n 2 page’s hand.
i know they'll probs change again and again
But anyone know what the current odds are on this fight? If there out.

bodog has rampage as a slight favorite.
I can’t remember the exact numbers though. I’ll have to check on my break
cool. are they both favorites?
I could see them both as -. Just Rampage maybe at -225 and Shad at -175 or something like that. But that rarely happens. Probs more like Rampage -150 and Shad +100.

Ya i think very close too.
I think Rampage should start at about -150 but will prolly move to close to -200 by May. Rashad should start at +120 or so and move to +150.

i think rampage has got this one and i have a gut feeling griffin will win also then maybe we will see jackson griffin 2. but my guts been wrong before
Patrick J Pierce
Got my tix, very excited for this card!
You knew that Dana would put a great card together for the Fan Expo and this card certainly doesn’t disappoint—Page, Shad, Lil Nog, Forrest, Bisping, Diego, just a great lineup there. Also very excited to see Duffee in person, that dude is a beast! There are several undercard fights that could easily be main card fights. If they put the prelims on Spike again, I bet Efrain and Amir will be on Spike as they love to give the TUF winners exposure. As for the main event, I’ll just say there’s going to be a repeat of my profile pic and leave it at that. War Page!!!!
There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

Anyone else playing Undisputed? Can’t wait for these fights tonight, Reethurr on PS3
anyone know....
if comcast has PPV in HD in Chicago?
BISPING TIME!!!!!
Where that guy disapeared to who is having a bet with me? Lots of things im pumped for here. Will Hathaway be able to do something when that killer is coming at him for 3 rounds like a madman is the first thing. Im not exited for Duffee and Nog’s fights due to the opponents i don’t see no upsets just easy wins but maybe i’ll be suprised. Not long now :)
Bisping's opponents RIP
WILL the 2 fights on Spike also be on the PPV??????
WILL the 2 fights scheduled on Spike also be on the PPV??
IF so WHY as it wastes our hard earned money for people like me who buy the ppv, and the ufc never seems consistint on this if they show these 2 fights on the ppv i can be watching the lakers or what not….and its a smack in the face of me who paid 59 for the hdppv on directtv…HELP!
Those 2 fights were lackluster decisions so no they won't be

i think it was too early…cain had his hands back up asap, if he was gonna stop the fight then, he shoulda have stopped it prior too when cain rocked him

WAR STUN GUN
but i really like the way Amir has been improving. His close quarters striking is really nice to watch. I think Amir survives to a decision, but an entertaining one, at that.

Splice looks lame.
But I can’t wait until A-Team comes out. I’m a huge fan and have every season on DVD. I know a lot of people were hating on the Rampage casting but I think he was a perfect choice. You maniacs going to see it when it comes out?

I got Rampage
I believe his wrestling is under rated. If he trained properly, got his mind right. I see this fight going in his favor. ( I would love to see a PrideFC power bomb, for the good old times.)
I'd have picked 'Page too...
If it weren’t for the long layoff and questions about his conditioning. I think that’s going to be a huge factor and Rashad wins a UD via dancing and and a Forrest Griffin-esque leg kick strategy.
by Captain Ernesto on May 29, 2010 10:11 PM EDT up reply actions
It wont go to the ground ...
I dont think wrestling is a factor in this one. It wont go to the ground. Also, Rashad began as a wrestler and is a blackbelt in BJJ.

I don't dislike Diego...
But it’s kind of weak that he loses to BJ at LW and then immediatley moves back up to WW. As if he has a better chance of beating GSP…
by Captain Ernesto on May 29, 2010 10:09 PM EDT reply actions
Diego should be @ 155
There are many more interesting match ups for him @ 155. Florian/Sanchez2 to name 1. Why did he drop down to begin with? For the stable of UFC welter weights today he is not going to match up well against Koscheck, Thiago Alves, Fitch, Paulo Thiago, GSP.. to name a few. I agree with Captain Ernesto his move back to 170 after getting raped by BJ Penn is bunz.
Flab boy is getting worked
after the 1st 30 seconds I got this weird feeling I should’ve put a few bucks on Hataway because he was going to KO sanchez… Sanchez lost that muscle he put oon when he dropped to 155lbs and after getting pounded by BJ, his head isn’t on straight.
WAR HATHAWAY!!!

Diego doesn't seem as energetic as he normally is. He shoulda stayed at LW.
by Captain Ernesto on May 29, 2010 10:24 PM EDT reply actions
He may have more energy if he has less weight to carry around?
Wasn’t making a scientific statement per se, just saying by comparison he seemed to have more energy in his recent fights at LW than tonight.

Brilz won 1 n 2 rnds… disgusting a fluke Brilz did that good but still he was robbed

doesn’t care what anyone says that was nog’s fight. brilz almost caught him in one sub and tried to lay on him the entire fight. he caught him with 2 punches the entire fight. about fucking time they stopped giving fighters the win for a take down

And What Exactly Did Little Nog Do To Win That Fight?
Nothing.
It was a bad decision, regardless of whether or not you like how Brilz fights.
by silverladder on May 29, 2010 11:29 PM EDT up reply actions
well, i’d hav to re-watch, but i can see little nogs case for winning, brilz did a few big things, such as the take down, winning the slug fest and the choke (even though subsdon’t seem to get points which is dumb), but nog did control most the fight pace and did land more i think. i think brilz won that fight but i can see y nog won..

but i don’t care cause i wanted nog to win, brilz won me as a fan though with his attitude..

Rashad Got it!
But Typical Rampage loses focus on fight has Rashad hurt badly then lets him recover… WTF?… just typical of him to do something like that.
Agree
I reckon Rampage was wearing a “Go Rashad” tee-shirt LOL
Absolute CRAP
Rampage should be cut from the UFC, he’s so slow you can time him with a sun-dial and Rashad is on par with Jon Fitch as being the most boring fighter on the planet. Worst main event in AGES.
Dude you're nuts.
I mean it wasn’t the most exciting fight ever but I thought it had some decent action. And Rampage just had ring rust and was dealing with getting back into fight shape, if he stick to training he’ll be back to old form down the road.
by Captain Ernesto on May 30, 2010 12:52 AM EDT up reply actions
Just my opinion
Rampage has too many other things going on and who can blame him earnign millions for acting etc. But he’ll always get beat by a faster guy. Shogun would OWN him.
millions
How much you think Rampage is worth total? Millions!! I said acting ETC. as in acting, sponsorship, appearances EXT. Other things than fighting. Why don’t you check things before you reply you fucking nut sniffer prick.
You are the weakest link………… goodbye HAHAHA
You don’t get sponsorships and appearance fees when you aren’t a UFC superstar Brainiac. And by your logic, every 205er who you think can’t beat Rua should retire? Nice of your mom to extend your curfew so you could play on the internet, but I think you’re just a little tired and cranky and need some sleep.
I'm a pan-handlin', man-handlin', post-holin', high-rollin', dust-bowlin' daddy
OK LITTLE GIRL....
I’ll write really slow you might understand..I think Rampage has had his day as a fighter and should consider retiring, not just cos Rua will maybe beat him. I think Rua will beat Rashad and even though I hate Rashad I don’t think he should retire.
So you’re saying Rampage isn’t a UFC superstar? Because he IS you dumb fuck and 1 of the bigger earners per fight than most. And he was very well paid for couching TUF 10.
Also you think he isn’t sponsored and/or make personal appearances? The guy has appeared in 10 yes that’s 10 films OK not major parts (apart from The A-team) but you know he hasn’t done it for free. And 38 fights, you think he hasn’t made any money from that too?
I sadi he’s worth millions and he is you fucking monkey. I win you lose. ADIOS… now get back to the breast milk of your adoptive momma boy HAHA
Good fight by Rashad.

WOW
Is anyone suprised that Rashad did what he did! Just get the W, it doesn’t matter if you finish the fight or not. Rashad, you’re a bitch!
Rashad, the whole Jackson camp, Fitch = boring!!!
funny
I just find it funny that you talk all this shit about knocking Rampage out but then you shoot the whole time!

TOO TRUE
I 100% expected this result. Even picked it on ufc.com fantasy LOL
agree
See i don’t care if that’s your gameplan! Ya that’s Evans best weapon. Same with GSP. But does GSP say he’s gonna KO anyone?… NOPE. I don’t even think he says he’ll finish the guy anymore.
I just think you look like a bitch when you say your gonna do something and then do the exact opposite.
A snuggie cuz i’m gonna put you to sleep? REALLY
That’s why guys like Rampage, Wandy, Liddell, etc are fan favorites because win or lose they are there to finish fights!
by Brotherwolf on May 30, 2010 12:59 AM EDT up reply actions
I get your point but you're reading way too much into the hype talk
Any comments made when fighters are hyping the fight need to be taken with a grain of salt. You never want to let the other guy know your gameplan.
I’m all for the fighters that go out to entertain, but sometimes they gotta be smart about it too.
Haha!!!
No redbulls either.

ufc
wow the judges were paid tonight hope they can sleep, Unanimous Decision for evans a lil nog wow really…..oh evans will get KO’d by shogun so no worries there…..
Evans did win he fght as much as I hate him but it wasnt Unanimous Decision he didnt win all three rounds. Rampage won round 3 so that is a split decision not a unanimous decision……Have no idea what fight the judges were watching when lil Nog fought
Dude you're an R-Tard
A split decision is when all 3 judges have the same fighter winning. So even if they all gave Rampage round 3 but gave Rashad rounds 1 and 2 it would still be a unanimous decision with the scores being 29-28 across the board.
by Captain Ernesto on May 30, 2010 1:19 AM EDT up reply actions
If all three judges score it 29-28 for the same guy, that’s still a unanimous decision. A split decision is when 2 judges score it for one guy and 1 for another. Maybe you should make sure that you actually know what you’re talking about before you make your next post.
lol so true; but i found out something
I always wondered why some people would say “i can’t believe it was a unanimous decision; should at least be a split decision”. I was always like, wtf does that matter?
Now I understand what they actually meant.
