BOSTON, Mass. (April 7, 2010) - Tickets go on sale today for Bellator Fighting Championships' much-anticipated May 6th event at the historic Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre in Boston.

Tickets are available beginning at 10 a.m. ET at www.citicenter.org/bellator.

The event includes eight featured fights including a nationally televised "Super Fight" between reigning Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez (19-2) and former UFC star Josh Neer (27-9-1), as well as a local Main Event featuring two of New England's best middleweights: Nate Kittridge (10-1) and Justin Torrey (5-0).

"The Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre is a dynamic venue in the heart of Boston," said Bellator founder and CEO Bjorn Rebney. "We are thrilled to be aligning with Madison Square Garden and the Wang Theatre to bring our world class, nationally televised mixed martial arts to MMA fans in New England."

"We have eight spectacular fights on our May 6th card including a matchup of two of the most exciting lightweights in the world, World Champion Eddie Alvarez and Josh Neer. We've also signed two of the best middleweights in all of New England and convinced them to fight each other in our Local Main Event. I can promise that the Kittridge-Torrey fight is something fans won't want to miss."

The Wang Theatre event is one of two venues exclusively booked through Madison Square Garden that will host Bellator events over the next four weeks along with the historic Chicago Theatre. Both of those events - along with 10 other Bellator events during April, May and June -will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net, NBC and Telemundo.

what makes that fight super?

Fedor invented a language that incorporates Sambo and Kimuras.

So next time FEDOR is kicking your ass, don't be offended or hurt, he may be just trying to tell you he likes your hat.

thats why I hate it ANS...I like eddie too but if Neer somehow beats him the tourney and belt are meaningless cause you'll have someone walkin around who has beaten the champ

it’ll happen in time but the real super fight in bellator will be Huerta/Eddie

True. I just cant see Neer

doing anything other then losing a decision. But your right it does make the title alot less meaningful. However we should see Huerta vs Alvarez which could be pure fireworks

Huerta vs Neer would be a more even fight than Huerta vs Alvarez

My breakout fighter for this coming year: Terry Etim

Upset of the Year: John Hathaway over Diego Sanchez
