UFC Undisputed 2010 playable demo coming soon to PSN and Xbox Live

The wait is almost over.
After selling 3.5 million copies of "UFC Undisputed" since its release in 2009, THQ has been hard at work to reward gamers with an ever more realistic and fluid experience for their 2010 entry, set to hit retail shelves on May 25.
Bigger, better, badder -- which could explain the inclusion of UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar on this year's cover.
Now gamers and MMA fans will have a chance to see what all the hype is about thanks to a soon-to-be-released playable demo for the Playstation Network (PSN) and Xbox Live.
And THQ wants to release the demo "a full month" before the official launch of UFC Undisputed 2010 -- which means we could be kicking some digital butt with the next two weeks.
The demo will feature the following four light heavyweight fighters:
- Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
- Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida
- "Sugar" Rashad Evans
- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
The demo will allow players to jump right into "Exhibition Mode" or challenge friends offline with "Tournament Mode." More details on these different modes will be released in the coming days.

There would have to be a feature like on other sports games where people end up being rated the same otherwise you would have people who find how to cheat the system and they win not because they are good but because they are cheap lol.

i couldn’t find it listed anywhere online, but it is listed at (im assuming all stores) Gamestop. I dunno about anywhere else, but both Gamestops where I’m at have book of game release dates. Im sure they didn’t just make up a release date on their own, so I assume they had some information to back it up. But since I cant find an internet source to back me up, and since Im not going to go any further to prove this, it is much easier to call bullshit on me and make it look like I’m wrong. But I’m still sticking beside 1/1/11
Either way, its not coming out for a while, and even if it is late 2010, UFC 2011 will be already ahead of them in terms of improving their game.

I bought the last one and played it a total of 2 hours..
I’d rather just watch a fight I guess; I don’t know what happened, I used to like video games too =( now the PS3 just sits there collecting dust.

I bought the previous UFC game last year the day it came out and have played it a total of 3 times. I guess I thought cause I was a fan of mma & ufc I thought I would love it. Im just not a gamer. But I have to say I was idiotic for spending $65 on a PS3 game that’s collecting dust.

I guess thats how they sold 3.5 million copies. They have people who are not even gamers going out and buying it! 4 people right there who were sold on something they have no interest in, that cracks me up. This year will do even better though, even without you fellows as return customers.

It wasn't very good is what happened
Stand-up was boring and robotic and then grappling was reduced to button-mashing. As much as I hate EA I find it hard to believe their game will be worse than Undisputed 2k9.

You’d have to get two seperate brackets for PS3 and Xbox, then have all participants email you their nicknames, time zone and work schedule. Then set up opponents by availability and hope everyone fights their match at the right time and reports honest results. I never played it online, but I imagine it would be tough to keep people honest unless there’s some kind of stat tracking for reference. Anyway… that’s a lot of work for a game =P

I played in an online league
for UFC 09. It wasn’t too bad, they announced the matchups at the beginning of the week and everyone just worked out the schedule themselves and reported the results. No one ever tried to dispute the results, it went pretty smooth for the most part. BTW I would def be in for a Mania league.

The stand up looks way better with the sway system and the ground controls look much better

All ya’ll suckas would be going down. My custom fighter in the first UFC was a 6’8" Italian Middleweight named Tushy Galore and he he retired a UFC Hall of Famer with only 2 losses. I’m sure he’d come out of retirement Randy style to lay the smack down on some Maniacs though when the new game comes out though.
